the device and remote work great!
the device and remote work great. i am using it as a momentary disconect switch. i have been having trouble removing my fancy electronic key from the ignition. the dealer has recall on other models of the vehicle, but not my model that uses the same parts. dealer also is not sure "or wont tell me" the remedy, told me three different scenarios. i refuse to throw $300 parts at the car not knowing if it is going to fix the problem. momentarily disconnecting the battery unlocks the key. i normally leave the power on all the time. been using it or 2 weeks now. i havent checked to see what the amp draw is when it is connected, but it has solved my problem for now. sorry for the long story.

met my needs perfectly
I have a 2003 honda pilot with an ignition key that is SUPER finicky. it's really difficult to get the key in/out and turn the car on. if I pull the key out sometimes I can't get the key back in due to wear and tear. to put a new ignition channel into the car and new key, etc, it could have cost $500-$1000 which is way too much for this old super runner. so, I leave the key in the ignition and just use the remote to turn on the battery. saves battery and anxiety worrying if I will be able to start the darn car!

Worked great for a year and a half.
We purchased this for my sons’s 1970 VW Bug on 2/15/2020. It has worked really well until recently. The remote stopped working even though the manual switch still works. We would love to find a way to obtain another remote. This is the only issue we’ve had.

Remote sometimes not working from inside of car. Have to open hood and get close.
- Update - stopped working on Thanksgiving 2020, terminals inside got too hot and can see switch wire coverings melted. It was loosing connection and power likely due to corrosion or buildup of residue, couldn't start the car after coming out of the store. Had to remove it right then and there and tossed the darn thing.Update 6/16/2020- I think the controller was getting too hot docked on top of the switch because the switch itself gets really hot. OI moved the controller to a spot on the fender side and it seems to be working fine with no issues.- The switch is a normally open switch, that means if the controller fails and loses power, the switch will revert to the off(open) position. this could be a problem if it fails when the car is in operation. Not sure the extent of damage when the car is running with the negative post of the battery unplugged. A better switch would be one that bi-stable meaning it stays in the position its set whether or not the controller has power or not.- I'm fairly happy with the switch so far for the two weeks Ive had it so far. Its the only one Ive seen with 180a rating. My alternator is rated over 135 amps and the amps on the battery may be over 1000 or close to it so i had to go with this one instead of the 100a alternative. Still wonder if the 100a would be good enough. Someone with an electrical background would have to tell me.Installed about a week now. Remote seems to be losing its distance sometimes. I’d have to get out of the car and get like 2 feet away to work. Already removed batter and tested the voltage. Both at 3.2 volts so it’s not the battery. Last night I had to sit there and wait after some time it reaches again. Not sure what’s going on but I’m not liking it.

Easy to install. Works like you expected!
Tiny device that tucks in nicely in the tight space under modern hoods. Crack the hood, plug it in, come back after your trip to a charged battery.

Good quality
Works great! I have been searching for a .96 amp draw on my car for months and could not find it. My battery drains after setting for 4+ days so, this is a great alternative.

Recommend this? Yes!
You may need an additional ground wire but it installed easily enough and our drain on the battery issue when parked is over! Service is great. We asked a couple questions and they responded very quickly!
