My tomatoes came up first, then the peppers.
The jalapeños took so long to sprout I almost gave up on them. Tomatoes were a few inches tall and leafed out before the peppers peeked out so be patient. I've ordered different seed combos over the past 6 years, usually if it sprouts you have a decent harvest. Occasionally nothing sprouts or it dies right away. When that happens I buy some seeds and drop a few in each pod. Sometimes you just get old seeds but not often. The liquid plant food is still fine so just get a dollar store pack of seeds if that happens rather than buy the whole box again.

it would be perfect if it didn’t taste…fake
i love the product & how easy it is to use indoors . if you follow the directions correctly and don’t place too many pods at once you will see great results. i started off with jalapeños but once they became ripe the taste is awful. there is no spice or kick to them & they taste like pure plants . as if you were eating a raw bland actual plant , like lettuce bland flavor instead of a spicy jalapeño pepper. it’s fun to give you something to do & look forward too but to actually enjoy eating i wouldn’t recommend.

Pepper seeds take much longer to germinate
The tomato sprouts very quickly with little leaves in a few days. Pepper takes a long time to sprout. I gave up on it but leafy the seed pod in there and lo and behold, it sprouted after a month! Now they’re both growing very nicely. The tomato will take up all the space so growing one is enough for all 6-pod area. The peppers are smaller so maybe two can fit. Do not use all 6 pod slots unless you plan to move some plants out to plant elsewhere!!

Outstanding Enjoyment!
Outstanding growth of the pods. I've been trimming during growth and it very enjoyable. Having indoor vegetables.

Kinda disapointing.
I've had awesome luck with leafy stuff like basil, cilantro and some other herbs but these were really just a disappointment. I got maybe 6 tomatoes and four jalapenos after about 2 months of growing these seed pods. Your results may vary - I've seen some reviews with pictures that look great - but my results were so-so at best. I have a 6 pod aerogarden. Not sure if that was my problem, but the plants look great. The tomato plant definitely looks sturdier than the jalapenos but both did well. All six sprouted. They just didn't produce the amount of vegetables that I expected. Honestly I would've given 2 stars if it weren't for the fact that everything sprouted and I actually did get a yield - even though it was tiny... that and the nagging feeling that maybe I'm doing something wrong. My other gripe is the price they charge for this kit. I've done pods from my own seeds and my own medium, with great luck, for a fraction of the price. Like 1/50th of the price. I guess I just kinda expect or hope for better results when I'm buying aerogarden's own branded kits but that just hasn't been the case in my experience.

Les poussent sont sorties très rapidement! Ce sera a vérifier si je vais avoir des tomates et piments, mais pour l'instant tout est parfait!

All 6 pods were successful
UPDATE: I really wanted to update my review once the tomatoes and jalapeños got going and here we are. Have to say, this is the first time I have been 100% successful with all the pods (speaking in general, not specific to the salsa kit). I am so excited but still need to be patient as one tomato fell off, so I ate it. Even though it was red, it wasn't ready and tasted awful (so tart) so I'm leaving them for a while longer. I covered the unused holes with foil (I refuse to pay $25 plus import fees for the cheap quality caps that should come with EVERY AeroGarden). This is very important to stop algea growth which will ruin your entire crop. Original Review: I'm so happy! All 6 pods are doing well even though 3 pods took a couple extra weeks and I am in my 6th week right now and all are flourishing. All 3 of my tomato plants have flowers and my jalapeño plants are still a bit thin but looks very healthy. If you have only ever grown herbs in an AeroGarden, like myself, you need to be MUCH more patient with the Salsa kit. All 3 of my jalapeño plants took about 3 weeks to start sprouting, the flowers on my tomato plants took almost a month to start growing and there are extra steps you need to take. Once you have flowers, you need to mimic the same action bees do when they pollinate flowers and AeroGarden recommends buying their over-priced Be the Bee Pollinator (which is a nice low price in the US but here in Canada it is triple the price). Don't waste your money, an electric toothbrush does the exact same thing the Pollinator does and if you don't have an electric toothbrush then rest a small fan in front of the garden for an hour or so (this also helps the plants to strengthen their stems). This is very lengthy process and can take over 3 months until you are ready to harvest. Please remember to do a complete water change every 4 weeks and replace with filtered or distilled water (tap water will throw off the acidity levels).

Great product. Definitely would recommend to other people.
I like how easy it is to maintain and change the water when adding new plant food. currently growing cherry tomatoes and right now the tomato are small and green.

Veggies galore
I've only grown one of the jalapeño plants so far because it grew so fast and gave me more than a dozen peppers in the span of a couple weeks! Still growing the first tomato plant also, as it's the perfect snacking plant for my kids. Looking forward to many more!
