Fiskars Garden Watering Plastic Motor Assembly Replacement

This unit will cost less than half of the cost of buying a new unit yet it contains nearly all of the things that will eventually go bad with a traveling sprinkler. As other reviews have noted, installing this is very easy but getting the wheels off the machinery being replaced is NOT easy. In my case I simply could not pry them off and had to resort to a metal grinding wheel to break the old pound-on caps off. Maybe you want to try removing the wheels from your unit before buying this, otherwise you might get frustrated (in which case you can just buy replacement wheels and pound-on end caps). Anyhow this unit will have your traveling sprinkler running like new. It does come with a new set of pound-on end caps to hold the wheels in place.

Part was a exactly what I needed and worked great very easy to install.

Just received this new motor for my Nelson sprinkler and got it installed. The water sprinkler works like new now but I gave it a 4 star because on my Nelson unit, the holes did not exactly line up like the old motor did. I was able to get it secured with careful tightening but I was constantly afraid something would break in the reassembly. The other issue I had was the pop on wheel locking caps that came with the unit, for this unit, would not even think about going on the ends of the axle. I even tried a baby sledge to force them on, no way. Just would not fit on. I finally ran to a nearby hardware store and bought two of the same caps there for $1.40, and they went right on like they should. Guess they sent a bad batch of them with the units. Otherwise, the sprinkler is running like new now costing less than half what a new unit costs

I couldn’t tell the difference between this one and the original motor on my Nelson traveling sprinkler. New bolts and wheel caps were included for easy replacement and my yellow tractor sprinkler is doing its job again.

I am glad i read the reviews before attempting to install this item. Everyone talked about the difficulty removing the old caps that hold the wheels on the axle. Having read them i knew i needed my dremel tool to cut into the caps to release them. Excellent product very happy with results
