This is my first entry into Bitcoin mining. Do yourself a favor and also buy some thermal paste and reseat your heatsink with your own paste. Trust but verify. My unit didn’t have paste on the bottom quarter of the ASIC and performance suffered for it. You can see the spike in performance after the modification. I use Umbrel to run my own Bitcoin Knots node and Public Pool to run my own pool with no fees. Lots of good info on Reddit/r/BitAxe. I’m averaging 1.3TH/s. It performs great without any other modifications like PI52 low profile heatsinks or Noctua 5v fan additions.This is a great entry unit for those dipping their toes into Bitcoin mining to learn the basics.This unit is running at 22-23W and comes with a 30W power supply.

This is an actual bitaxe gamma so we get some points there. It runs well out of the box and was easy to set up. I gave it two stars because there is a major oversight with the stand it comes with. I didn’t realize when I ordered as this is my first bitaxe but the USB slot is blocked by the case. You can easily update firmware via a phone or laptop but if you want to do any major changes to the device via a usb you have to take it apart from the stand. Such an easy fix and such an inconvenience to anyone who wants to dive a little deeper into the device by connecting it to a pc.

Got 6 of these earlier this month! Great units. Have had virtually no issue except for one unit overheating but I think some extra airflow, aluminum heatsinks and thermal paste will assist that!
