Nice looking model, easy instructions pieces organized by steps

I ordered this for my 12 year old son. He loves military boats and is very capable with building block kits. However, within the first bag of blocks/instructions we found pieces missing and my son has now become an expert of building around missing parts. One missing part has resulted in the props not being able to turn when moved on its wheels. Other than that, great kit.

My 8 year old son loves this model! No missing pieces I'm aware of and only "issue" was the string for the radio antennas, kind of tricky to get right and not bumped off. But great model!

So I am down to just two bags left and they are the details on the top of the battleship. This isn't completely built, but built enough that I am comfortable reviewing. To start, it came in a HUGE box. I guess, in my mind, I wasn't expecting it to be as big as it is. Since I only spend roughly 1-2 hours a night working on brick builds, this has taken me some time. I'm usually watching TV while building, so my focus isn't solely on building and for someone who is going to dedicate time to just building, this could be accomplished much quicker. Everything so far has went together with ease, everything fitting as it should and having no issues with the brick quality. It came in 10 numbered bags and one bag that had larger parts. The instructions are very detailed and tell you when you need to pull pieces from the bag that isn't numbered. To my surprise, it even came with tiny planes. My 6 year old son was really hoping it did, but I didn't think it would. While this is fun for kids to play with, I wouldn't consider this a build for a kid. The box states 6+ and while I'm sure my son could build it if he had the attention span, most 6 year olds do not. So I would place this more in a 13+ category. It's not that it's a difficult build, just time consuming and highly detailed. I will admit, some of the pieces on top do come off fairly easy, but I would also consider this more of a display piece than a play piece, so this doesn't really bother me much. I can pick it up by the bottom of the ship and it's very secure. Honestly, I'd say this is a pretty good value for anyone who enjoys brick builds or is a war enthusiast. We are a brick building family and are working on a display for our war themed builds. This ship is going to serve as the base. Very happy!

Fantastic build. Bags come are numbered and the instructions are easy enough to follow despite being a little small. Zero missing pieces. My only complaint would be I wish the hull had more support to it. I kept breaking pieces apart as I was trying to build it. The bricks are ok, they do the job. If you are into battleships I would recommend it based on the fact you can't get this type of build from everyone's favorite brick company. Happy building!
