Excellent Ergonomics and Thoughtful Design!
Excellent Ergonomics and Thoughtful Design! I recently picked up the ProtoArc EK01 Plus, and I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality and attention to detail. Right out of the box, you can tell this company prioritizes the customer experience. It even includes a personal note from the keyboard designer and a handy sticker you can put on the bottom of the device with their customer service contact information(if you want) I personally love these kind of small touches they go a long way. The typing experience itself is good. The split ergonomic layout combined with the wrist support creates a very comfortable typing experience; the wrist padding is very comfortable and feels like it has memory foam in it. The keys have a great tactile feel, and the adjustable backlighting is perfect for staying productive in low-light or dark environments. As a nice bonus, it even comes with a silicone keyboard protector to keep everything clean. My favorite feature is the connectivity. It is incredibly easy to switch between the 2.4 GHz connection on my work computer and Bluetooth for my tablet. If you’re looking for a comfortable, versatile keyboard that handles multiple devices seamlessly, I highly recommend the EK01 Plus!

Definitely recommend this well built keyboard
Definitely recommend. Absolutely love this keyboard. I’ve only had it a few days but the quality is very good especially at this price point. It was super easy to set up and connect via Bluetooth. I have somewhat large hands so I like a spacious keyboard and this works perfectly for me. The keys are well built and very quiet. I will say it doesn’t have a very pronounced curve but it’s a minor detail. The wrist pad is also very comfortable

Excellent Ergonomic Upgrade – Better Than My Old MS Keyboard
I picked up this keyboard to replace my aging Microsoft ergonomic model in my office setup, and it's been a fantastic switch. I specifically chose this one for a couple of key reasons that really matter to me. First, unlike many traditional ergonomic keyboards that tilt up from the back (which always looks uncomfortable—I cringe watching coworkers type on those setups; it just hurts my hands to see), this one tilts up from the front. That forward slope feels much more natural for long typing sessions and keeps my wrists in a healthier position right away. Second, it has short-travel keys with a nice, responsive feel (short press/action), and I swear my typing speed has noticeably increased since switching. The split, curved design with the full-size layout and cushioned wrist rest makes everything feel more natural and less strained—my hands and forearms thank me after hours of work. I'm using the USB receiver option and connectivity is solid. Haven't tried Bluetooth. Battery life is impressive too—I've only needed to charge it once on the day I got it, and it's still going strong weeks later. Rechargeable via USB-C, no hassle. At this price point, it's an absolute steal compared to pricier ergonomic options. Build quality feels premium with the grey-black color scheme looking sleek on my desk. If you're looking for a comfortable, wireless ergonomic keyboard that actually improves your typing experience and posture without breaking the bank, this is it. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. 5 stars—highly recommended!

Nice feeling keys, not too heavy, shortcuts work good enough.
So, my microsoft sculpt ergonomic spacebar broke and I needed a replacement. I actually went through 2 other keyboards before landing on this one. So I'm going to compare the sculpt, Meetion, Nulea 7 color, and ProtoArc. All of them were Wifi + 2x bluetooth. I use with both. I've had the MS Sculpt for years, I like it. In that time I've needed to replace a couple key caps, but it's been good. I really like the feel of the keys and I'm used to the shortcuts. Every one of these new keyboards seems to have a different idea on what alternate shortcuts the function keys do, I wish that were standard. The biggest issue with the MS Sculpt was it was bluetooth only, so I had to pull out and old wired keyboard every time I needed to go into bios, that was a bit of a pain. But I liked the use, feel, lightness of it enough. It took 2 AA batteries that I replaced maybe 2 times a year. All the new ones recharge via USB-C, but that needs to be done maybe every 1-2 weeks? So not bad since I can plug it in to the pc that it's next to for that. All the new keyboards also have a wifi dongle so I can use them in bios. First I tried the Nulea. The feel of the keys is the same as the ProtoArc, it actually has a lot of similarities. I really like the key feel. But what absolutely destroyed and made me hate the Nulea was the missing right CTRL key, OMG that drove me insane, 100% garbage without it. They have this stupid "light" button instead, it's so worthless without the right ctrl key. On top of that, I use a lot of complicated keyboard shortcuts, and depending on the wiring of the keys, some might not work. In my case Ctrl+Shift+Win+Page Down did not work, which was problematic for me as well. So I ended up returning that. Next I tried was the Meetion. It was lighter than the others, good and thin too. It doesn't have the flat keys, but keycaps. I like good key caps, but those they were not. It felt super cheap, but the biggest deal breaker was often repeated stuck keys, at least once a day. After a few days of that I returned it. I've been using the ProtoArc for a few weeks now, and it's great. It does have that light key on the right, it adjusts brightness and honestly I don't really care about that feature and wish I could remap it. But all that matters there is that it actually has the right ctrl key. My keyboard shortcuts work, I can use it in BIOS. It's probably about an oz heavier than my original microsoft sculpt. The only part that isn't great are the volume keys, well, all the keys in that little circle of keys in the center between the halves. That's why I deducted the star, but they work, and the keyboard looks great otherwise. So I'm happy with it and hopefully will have it another 5 years at least. Edit: So, after about 6 weeks of using it, the up arrow just fell off, it looks like the part that holds half of it down was malformed during manufacturing, I suppose that can happen. But it caused me to come here and reevaluate my review, and I've actually added back that star, so it's 5/5. Reason being is, first, after using it more, the volume keys didn't bother me as much, just got used to them, and mainly, when I contacted customer service about the key issue, they were very prompt to respond and sent me a replacement right away, they said it would take 4-5 days, but somehow it arrived the next day, and it works great, so very happy with that. One thing I also forgot to mention in the original review, is that it has one of those silicon keyboard spill covers, which is a really nice feature! Specifically because you can usually only find those made on laptops. So if you want your keyboard to always be easily cleanable you can use it all the time. I did use it for a couple weeks, but it slowed down my typing a little like any other cover I tried, but I do like having it.

SUPER BUMMED!!! If you actually use your keyboard, stay away from this one
Update: The seller granted a full refund which Im grateful. I suppose I got a faulty keyboard or something. ****** I really wanted to like this keyboard but a couple things have super turned me against it. For context im a graphic designer/web/ai programmer, so im on my keyboard probably 8-14 hours a day. Im also a neat freak. It’s one of the reasons I got this keyboard as it came with a silicone cover :) Anyway, the first issue is regarding the battery life and the led backlighting. I primarily got this keyboard over others due to the led backlighting and being wireless. Well… if your led lights are on and it’s unplugged, you have about an hour before they’ll turn off to conserve the battery,” unless you plug the keyboard back in… now, I guess that can be expected… maybe? LEDs dont draw much current… and with then off the keyboard lasts about 5 days ish… so I was bummed as I like to work in low light and warm colors to keep my eyes from burning…. Thats not an option if you want to see your keys. It is what it is. The dealbreaker though is the keyboard itself. As mentioned, im a neat freak. After using the keyboard for about 2 months I noticed that the silicone cover was getting “dirty” so I pulled it up to take it to the sink and clean it… what I saw under it was shocking. (See the pics) It appears that key texture is achieved by that cheap rubberized finish they put on plastic to make it look and feel booshie… turns out the key cover wasnt dirty on top, it was dirty on the bottom from that texture disintegrating under it…. After only 2-3 months. If you actually use your keyboard, stay away from this one. It feels nice, the key actuation is short and clicks, the ergonomics are great…. But it’s been 3 months and it’s finish is essentially toast steer clear. The return period is over, but if the manufacturer reaches out I’ll update this review accordingly. Im super bummed.

Great low profile, ergo, backlit keyboard
I've owned this keyboard for several months now and it's my favorite. I like the low profile keys and the quiet clicks. But the backlit keys are also great, as is the bluetooth and USB dongle support. The curved layout is easy on my wrists and I don't have any soreness. It was an easy migration from the Logitech K860 to this one. I rarely have to charge it unless I have the bright backlight enabled and am using it several nights in a row. Only one complain so far: The space bar squeeks and it's annoying. Search Google for "Protoarc keyboard squeek" and you'll find my video walkthrough on how to fix it.

It is good and passion for customer is plainly severally evident, unable to change prior review
I was truthful but criticised the way the light from around keys sort of blinds rather than helps- this is only true if one is reclined and looking at a sharp angle, and not the case for more people sitting upright and looking down. The keyboard is fantastic, takes some getting used to key layout, Came with a strange semi clear rubbery thing that covers the keyboard perhaps when working in dirty or food environments it is useful.

I love it, but don't use the keyboard protector
I find my fingers adhere to the protector when I use it, but that's my only knock on this keyboard. Having carpal tunnel, I needed a keyboard to accommodate that, and it's a great keyboard at half the price of it's name brand competition.

So comfortable to use
Game changer - I only got this last night and it is amazing. I have always used wireless keyboards and was always nervous about ergonomic as they looked hard to use. The built in wrist rest is amazing and the split key pad is a lot easier to use and after a bit of practice I believe it will improve my typing the correct way as well as the speed. Also the keyboard protector is amazing. i also got the same brand mouse and key and although I had a mouse support this is levels above. The mouse still takes a bit f getting used to but I'm sure after practice it will be more natural. it feels so good in the hand which is the main thing.Just takes getting used to that the left and right clicks are on the side. All up it was around $200 for everything and seeing as I WFH one day a week and spend time on this all day I really think the investment is worth it.

Five stars is NOT enough
I cannot say enough about this keyboard, from the packaging to the presentation, to the product and it's extremely high quality finish! It's just mind blowing. And it's very rare that any product would get such a feedback from me!
