It's a really great product.
Works perfectly fine for me. The telescopic pole could be a problem for some but I personally like it because it can fit in the side zipper pocket on my golfbag. Opening and closing is a cinch but you gotta have a little bit of fingernails because the metal nipples that lock the telescopic shaft in place is very small. I can see how changing the shaft to a one piece would be much more applicable if you have the space to carry an extra club. My bag came with dividers that can only fit 14 clubs and I use large grips and it's pretty snug, hence the side pocket for storage. It's a very easy to use tool and will probably last a long time. If and when the telescopic shaft breaks I'll epoxy it to an old shaft. It's a great product.

Terrific tool
This is a terrific divot tool for anyone with a bad back. It’s so easy to use you’ll be fixing several divots on the green improving the health of the grass.

Would have been 5 stars with no handle
I have been using a men's club provided solid shaft tool, made by this same company, daily for two years with great results. Thought I'd try a collapsible model with the thought of replacing shaft if it didn't work out. I think I tried the collapsible model for less than a minute before putting it away. First thing. the tiny locking buttons are so small and stiff that collapsing the shaft is difficult without breaking a fingernail or two. Second, the extended shaft is so wobbly compared to a rigid shaft, that the function seems totally defeated. Third, having had two years repairing pitch marks with a sister solid shaft tool, I felt certain that this model would have a very short shaft life.So like earlier reviewers, I heated the collapsible shaft near the anodized head until the "glue" failed, then installed an old putter shaft. I will note that the original shaft/hole diameter is 7/16", so some sort scheme to increase the golf shaft diameter will be required. In the attached picture, the hosel part of the old putter head was cut off still attached to the shaft, and filed to the proper diameter to fit and epoxied in.One more point, the solid shaft model I was using is indeed a "solid 3/8" dia" shaft, making the tool a bit on the heavy side. Also the rubber grip on the 3/8" shaft is a bit small in diameter for my taste. So, bottom line, the only reason I left off one star was the hassle of removing the collapsible shaft. The tool itself works so well, that I would happily pay for just the head with no shaft attached for DIY mounting.

Never thought I would have so much fun fixing all the ball marks on a green
Last week a friend of mine had one of these and used it to help fix a few holes at our golf course, in preparation for a big tournament that was playing through on our course. I had an old fashioned ball mark repair tool I kept in my pocket, which requires bending over to fix a ball mark and it would take a few times to get it fixed. With this tool you no longer have to bend down to fix the mark, and you can do fit in in seconds, and really easy to do. Just push into the ground and twist a little bit as you pull it out of the ground and perfect ball mark fix.It was so much fun, that last round I went around every green and looked for every ball mark I could find and fixed them. For the price, I think this is the best deal and best ball mark repair tool around. There were some cool ones that were more expensive, but I don't think fixes them better than this one.

Works well!
This is an excellent tool for fixing divots on the green. It works perfectly with fresh divots and completely repairs them. Old divots which were not repaired when first made are more of a challenge, but the tool works better than the traditional approach to repairing old divots. As the course Marshall I use it daily to repair our greens and provide a positive putting surface and I would suggest this tool to anyone serious about fixing divots

I replaced the handle with an old golf club shaft and it works great. Needs a better quality shaft
I have purchased a couple of these and the extension locks fall apart quickly. I replaced the handle with an old golf club shaft and it works great. Needs a better quality shaft.

Please fix your pitch marks.
Does what it's supposed to do better than most divot tools I've used. I've been a recreational golfer for 32 years and worked briefly at my local municipal for a season and pitch marks are the bane of any course maintenance crew. This handy tool fixes most new and old blemishes with relative ease. The version I received must have been the latest because the shaft was solid, not collapsible. That being said there are reasons I did not give it 5 stars. First, depending on course conditions, grass can get trapped in the tines so cleaning is a must. Second, the slight twisting action sometimes used to fix marks can loosen the head. Loctite solves that issue. Lastly, (and this is more on Amazon's delivery services), when the box initially arrived, it was crushed and the shaft was bent. Not a deal breaker but pretty annoying considering how much it costs. All in all it's a worthy purchase if you're part of a maintenance crew, or have trouble bending down, or just want to help your fellow golfers by keeping our greens the best condition we can. Regardless of whether you buy this or not, fix your pitch marks, get out there and play, and enjoy your rounds.
