INFORMATIVE
Received when promised in great condition.. Have just started reading it and it does has some very interesting facts and stories that are inspirational. It is more of a positive thinking type of book but the authors did a great job in making it appear they were talking to you - not at you - and re-enforcing the fact we all have the power to change. They are more like cheerleaders noting they encourage you to make the changes YOU are comfortable with and it's OK to "cheat" once in a while - very realistic approach to living life to the fullest...and enjoying it, not becoming a robot! They have a "sample" 9 week diet which is pretty straight forward - exercises - and heartfelt stories about everyday people which you somehow can relate to each one way or another. Well written and informative. Definitely got me thinking and motivated me to start making changes now (chronological age is 62, but based on the test in the book, I am 64.4 years old! Yikes!....time to get back into a good, positive pace with life! Will let keep you posted as I begin my journey) Starting with setting a goal to make 1 change a week starting this week. Then once that change sets in, move to 2 changes a week, and so on. Thank you to the fantastic authors Steve and Elizabeth!

Practical and down to earth
The book starts out with more fact-based information designed to help you self-evaluate (and consider your lifestyle). It then moves into case studies of people who are aging with wisdom and grace. There is medical information, but not too much. There are recipes and exercises at the end. I have not finished the book, but I can see picking and choosing what worked for some and what could possibly work for me, since we're all so different. A lot of the informationis common sense, but it helps to see it on the page. The one thing I didn't like is that the book is printed on not very good paper--like most Rodale books are. And it was pricy. I look forward to reading the entire book and would be glad to give an update.

Not For Everyone
Definitely a world of information and recommendations about a healthy lifestyle but, that being said, whatever path you decide to pursue based on what others are doing, will take a strong commitment. Lots of information that may not be appropriate for your individual lifestyle, just figure what might be the direction you want to pursue then go for it. Don't be surprised if you get derailed along the way, lots of people do. This book is a guide for those who want to commit to a lifelong process. The rewards are there if you have the patience to stick with it. I'd have given it the fifth star but the book is not for those that don't have the dedication to commit.

Fantastic mindful eating advice
Great information, easy read. Only wish for it would be if they went into more of what people ate for each person's story in more detail.
