It depends on the weight of your dog. It calls for 2 tablespoons per 10lbs and it contains 12 ounces!

Q: How big is it in comparison to something?

I'm guessing it's about 6" tall. It does go a long way though, it's concentrated I feel like, you don't need to use a lot. I have a puppy and 2 cats and I think it lasted about a week. They say not to use human grade broth because some of the ingredients are not good for our pets, like onions.
