Playmobil 5434 Family Caravan, Fun Imaginative Role-Play, PlaySets Suitable for Children Ages 4+

This was meant to be for Christmas, but my two and a half year old caught me putting it away - and I couldn't resist her cries of 'oh, WOW!', so we put it together. Really fab little set with lots and lots of bits. My daughter is careful with small pieces, and enjoys role play, so I've left them in. This was just over £20 I think when I bought it, and was a great bargain. Some of the stickers were a little fiddly - the mirror in the bathroom, for instance - but totally worth the end product.

Took a little while to assemble, and a bit of patience to apply some of the stickers, but worth it in the end. The attention to detail from Playmobil hasn't waned over the years, and the amount of accessories that come with the caravan is fantastic. Playmobil sets give a child so much to play with - they are only limited by their imagination.We purchased this with the Family SUV (5436) so my 4 year old son could tow the caravan. He loved his present and it hasn't really been packed away since Christmas.It is also good to give a toy that isn't associated with a film/tv character (personally I think a child doesn't get bored with it so quickly), and it allows boys, as well as girls, to role play with the sets.The other thing that I like about Playmobil toys is that the picture on the box shows you everything inside, it isn't made up from 'additional sets' that need to be purchased, like some other manufacturers.

Amazing level of attention to detail in this Playmobil set. The caravan is as well-equipped as a real one, going as far as including sausages for the barbecue and a lead for the dog! The quality is superb and the toys are easy to put together; however as it is quite detailed be aware that it will take a while to put all the bits together before it can be played with. Great fun once up though - my 5 year old tows it with the Family SUV from Playmobil and he loves it. Highly recommended.

Brought this for Christmas and three years on and the children are still playing with it with no issues. The plastic you can feel is strong plastic and not the cheap bendy stuff you get with other toys. Caravan was larger than we thought and although it took me and the hubby about an hour to put it together, we know that it won’t fall apart! Recommend for young children when they stop putting things in their mouth all the time 😂

As always attention to detail is excellent however I thought it was a little on the small side and quite tricky to get the little people in and out also difficult to play inside the caravan as you can only really access it through the roof.Lots of little pieces that can easily get lost. Hopefully my Grand daughter will still get a lot of enjoyment from it but I doubt the tiny pieces will last long.

Wonderful Playmobil quality, Amazon prices. Caravan works well either stand-alone or in conjunction with one of the vehicles which can tow, like the SUV or even the camper-van. Lots of accessories in this set, including a BBQ, camping table and chairs, lots of storage in and around the caravan even an electrical hook-up, and a removable toilet chemical block ! Lots of cute little surprise and delight features, extremely robust build and quality. Lots of little parts, like knives and forks, so need to be 3 or 4 years plus really with this.

Even though playmobil items are quite expensive, you do get a quality product. My son had this for his birthday after seeing it advertised on the TV. As we go camping as a family he was keen to have his own. He plays with it all of the time and it helps children to be creative, rather than be stuck in front of a screen all of the time.

We bought this along with another summer set for our Neice as she loves Playmobil.We spent a long time putting this together as there are lots of small peices and stickers to attach that a 6 year old would be unable to do.Once everything is done it is a great set and very sturdy, this will stand the test of time and give our Neice hours of fun.The peices are chunky and well made and the whole thing is colourful and looks good.Would highly recommend this but be prepared to spend some time getting everything together.
