Makes your bed more comfortable!
Works just like a box spring but smaller and easier to deal with. I used on a set of bunk beds and a daybed where you need the extra support, but a normal box spring is too big and bulky. Both kids said their mattress had more support and was more comfortable. I was getting ready to replace the mattresses, but this improved them so much that I don't have to for a while. Came in a box rolled up so easy to bring in. Wrapped in plastic so clean. Just have to unroll and put on the bed. They do not fit the whole frame there is a couple of inches of a gap but not a problem for me. Easier to put on the fitted sheet that way. Great quality, affordable price and came in quickly. Recommend!

Game-Changer for Any Mattress! Sturdy, Sleek, and Surprisingly Simple!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered the ZINUS Compact Fabric Covered Wood Slats, but I’m so glad I gave it a try. This little gem has completely transformed my son’s twin bed setup! He no longer wakes up complaining about his mattress sagging or feeling uncomfortable, and trust me, for a growing boy, sleep is everything. What I Loved: Easy Setup: It came pre-assembled and rolled up. I literally just unrolled it onto the bed frame. No tools. No fuss. Done in under 2 minutes. Strong Support: These slats are solid. My son jumps on the bed (as kids do), and these slats don’t budge or creak. It feels like a high-end box spring without the bulk. Low Profile: Perfect for bunk beds or low platform frames. I paired it with a medium-firm mattress and it gave the perfect amount of lift without making the bed too high. Fabric Covered: The clean design adds a nice touch, and the fabric helps prevent the mattress from sliding around. Perfect for: Replacing bulky box springs Making bunk beds safer and more comfortable Anyone needing a minimalist but strong foundation. Final Thoughts: This is one of those things you don’t realize you need until you try it. It’s a small upgrade with a big impact. If you're on the fence don’t be. It’s well worth it!

Absolute Godsend - worth every penny!
I currently have a king size bed (two twin mattresses pushed together), and a few sets of the provided slats on the side that I primarily use keep popping/falling out, and they are next to impossible to put back in. This inevitably led to a sagging mattress which in turn led to back pain. I figured there HAD to be some kind of a way to fix this, so upon doing some research for bunkie boards, I found these under the highest rated ones. Let me tell you, I don’t think I could be happier! They fit PERFECTLY (I did have to use a tape measure before ordering them), they are very lightweight, and they fold and unfold very easily. I am amazed at how durable and supportive they are, and the fact that there is a set of two for the king size works great for my bed. They were not badly priced either, and they were here next day (I badly needed them)! If you have a sagging mattress and need extra support, buy these - you will NOT be disappointed!

Solid Performance, but Manufacturing Precision Could Be Improved
As a platform bed enthusiast, I was looking for a low-profile foundation that would provide a sturdy, non-flexing base without the bulk of a traditional box spring. This ZINUS bunkie board mostly delivers on its promise. The engineering is clever; it arrives in a compact box and the frame assembles with surprising speed. The use of foam-padded tape and non-slip tape on the slats is a smart, technical detail that effectively eliminates noise and prevents mattress shifting, which is a major win. The closely spaced, fabric-covered slats provide a firm and consistent foundation, and my memory foam mattress feels perfectly supported. The only reason this isn't a five-star product is a minor but frustrating flaw in its manufacturing tolerances. The King size frame was just slightly wider than standard, requiring a bit of force and finagling to fit securely within my bed frame. It's a small detail, but a precise fit is critical for a product like this. Once seated, it's a solid, functional piece of equipment that performs its job flawlessly.

My back feels better
I had really bad back pain and thought my new extra thick mattress was to blame. Then I read it could just be the bed frame or slats. I was using ikea luroy slats and i think.they were not string enough. I bought these and placed them on top of the slats. The ikea slats are horizontal and these are vertical. So its a criss cross pattern now and no sinking is possible. Lol. I might remove the ikea ones. But honestly my back pain subsided after a few days. I could not believe it. Im sleeping 100 times better because of these. I like that they are vertical. These slats are really really good quality. I loved the packaging and just how easy they were to lay down. It took me about a minute total to fix my bed. Now that I'm waking up with NO BACK PAIN and not stiff, I feel better. I would recommend this company and these slats. They are not cheaply made. They look and feel solid. I'm happy and I was miserable in pain.

Works great, if you know what it is for.
Was skeptical of Zinus, they have "2,000 lb." bed frames for memory foam mattresses that break in a year (white label: it's the same as many other frames for $125.) But these did the job. Vertical wood slats combined with my existing bed frame's metal horizontal beams means no sagging, every part of the bed feels even, and no dipping. Some notes: -- For spring mattresses, this will NOT replace your box spring. Seen a lot of pics of folks putting this in traditional metal bed frames expecting it to work. (Same as any other long planks of wood: if a kid jumps on the mattress, without cross members, it'll snap. What is expected here?) This is meant to add stability to beds with existing horizontal slats of some kind (wood, metal, etc.) that are just too far apart for a mattress to be well supported. -- Sliding around is real, but again, this shouldn't be the sole thing holding the mattress up. This is intended to be part of mattress support, not a sole support. After placing the mattress on, I let the planks shift inward, then pulled them back to the edge and checked underneath that none were overlapping or doubled up. All set. -- My current bed frame has horizontal slats, but the measurements were over 6" apart, which is against most memory foam mattress warranties. By putting these over it, it has a "lattice" appearance combined with the horizontal slats, and the wood makes contact with each horizontal slats distributing weight across all of the slats evenly (versus each horizontal slats receiving pressure and shifting/bending/buckling over time on their own.) -- Mold sucks. I'm sorry for those who found them with mold shipped. This is common with wood products and shipping containers + moisture + time, it is extremely possible these left the factory 100% but had spores on the wood or they transferred on from other contaminated product mid shipment. Its also possible Zinus failed a quality check. I'm not writing this for them. I bought these, no freebies or review samples here. I'm a big guy, but not tremendously so. 280 lbs, 6 ft. tall. And I've learned that most weight ratings on mass-produced bed platforms are nonsense. Anything spot-welded breaks over time just as easily as wood snaps given time and repeated pressure. I don't even slump down when I'm tired, I'm careful to sit each time before lying, and it still happens. The goal is getting more time out of a cheap bed frame, versus paying $600-1,200 for something with all sorts of feature I don't need (shelves, upholstered pillow-stitch headboard, trundle bed, drawers, etc.) that is likely assembled the exact same way with the same quality of parts. In closing, you can't pay for quality without overseeing someone custom-building it or doing it yourself. So, stack the deck where you can. This isn't going to replace a box spring. But it's a lot less unwieldy and likely cheaper (wood prices haven't really come back down) than getting a plywood sheet from the hardware store cut to fit your bedframe, stapling a fabric cover over it, and laying over the slats to 'back them up'. That's what this is for.

Nice quality slats!
I have an Ikea Brimnes bed with Luroy slats and a very heavy hybrid mattress (Stearn and Fosters Kirkland mattress from Costco). As a stomach sleeper, I am very sensitive to any dips in a mattress, so I have been sleeping close to the center beam where the mattress has the most support. Thanks to other reviews for this product, I decided these vertical slats laid over my horizontal slats might extend that center support to the whole bed. I put carpet tape on the last row of horizontal slats at the foot and head of the bed to prevent shifting when I rotate the bed. I used cheap Duck brand carpet tape which allowed me to easily reposition the slats before laying the mattress on it. Despite sliding the heavy mattress over the slats, they didn't shift at all. The wood is good quality, and I really like that it is encased in material giving the mattress even more support, similar to a foundation. The crisscrossed pattern seems extra supportive while still allowing the mattress to breathe. Just one more slat in each bundle would have been perfect, but combined with the other slats below it, this should work. Hopefully, I didn't already damage the mattress beyond redemption with those cheap Ikea slats. I will update my review in a few weeks or so after trying them out for a while. Until then, I'll keep my fingers crossed that these Zinus slats finally helps my back pain!

Works well to save a sagging mattress.
These wood slats were sliding around causing the mattress and topper to slide and misalign. I found I needed to drill holes through these slates into the metal bed frame it was on top of, screwing the slates in place to keep the slates from moving. The slats are covered in a cotton wrap making them slippery against the metal bed frame. Once everything was locked in place it worked very well. A memory foam mattress was on top and was squeezing through the cross members of a Zinus metal bed frame causing many painful pressure points where the mattress was very very soft or hard where the metal cross members are underneath. When weight was on top the mattress was being extruded through the metal cross members not offering any support where there was no cross member. I used these slats the "fill in the gaps". I am rating these slats 3 stars because the bed frame and these slats are the same brand. The company Zinus should have either predrilled this frame or slats or offered a roll of carpet tape to keep everything securely attached to prevent sliding around. The slats are well made, however. I just see this as a big oversight that caused me more redesign time to take everything apart to fix their design flaw. This is Zinus queen metal frame, Zinus queen wood slates, with some off-brand memory foam mattress, and a queen ViscoSoft 3 Inch Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper.

Bed is more firm, squeaks less, & probably more steady. no sliding yet. Perfect size for my queen.
Bed is more firm, squeaks less, & probably more steady. no sliding yet. Perfect size for my queen. Given the other reviews this product exceeded my expectation. Sliding has not been an issue as of yet, only got it yesterday. Size is a perfect fit for my queen. Super easy to use and I feel my bed is more sturdy as the weight is now distributed across all the support beams. Excellent choice especially if you have a memory mattress foam and are concerned about the gaps in the slats on your regular bed frame. Also the delivery woman was exceptional.

Good replacement for a box spring
We purchased it as a replacement for box spring. We are happy with the purchase. It does what is made for. The only thing I would like to mention is the we need to adjust it once in a month or 2 to make sure the bed stays in place. Overall great product for once who wants to save some money. It is good for those who wants flexibility when moving from one place to another as it's very easy to transport.

Awesome Product
Awesome product that supported my mattress perfectly it won't sink my mattress between the gap of my daybed frame. I'm comfortable. The product is strong, and sturdy, the cover cloth is washable. That's all I need to keep my mattress on shape for a long time. This bunkie bed support I'm very sure will last for many years. I recommend this to many customers. I give it 5 +++++++ stars.
