Ultralight Collapsible Stuff Duffel

The Osprey Ultralight Stuff Duffel is an excellent lightweight, packable bag for travel with a sleek, simple design that looks great in transit. It folds down to about the size of a fist, so it’s easy to tuck into a carry-on without losing valuable space. If you were to use it as your main carry-on, you could comfortably fit about two to three days’ worth of clothes. On my three-week trip to Europe, I used it primarily for souvenirs, and it held shirts, jackets, and small items like magnets and keychains perfectly while keeping everything dry. The capacity is surprisingly generous, and it works well as a personal item—I had no trouble fitting it under the seat on multiple airlines. The fabric sheds water nicely and kept my belongings dry on rainy days, which was a big plus. The shoulder strap is comfortable for carrying around airports or cities, but it is a bit thin and doesn’t offer much padding, so it can get uncomfortable if you’re carrying heavier loads for a long time. The small zip pocket is handy for quick-access essentials like a passport, wallet, or keys. Because it’s designed to be ultralight, the material is quite thin and the bag doesn’t have much structure, so it can feel a bit flimsy with heavier loads. It’s best suited for clothes, souvenirs, and other lighter items rather than anything very heavy. For the price point, though, it offers very good value and does exactly what you’d expect from an ultralight, packable duffel. Overall, this is a super convenient, highly packable duffel that’s ideal for travel—especially if you want a reliable extra bag without the bulk of a traditional carry-on.

I had zero expectations as I’ve never tried this type of product. Its soft material is more like a parachute than a standard cordura duffel bag that has rigid shape. Looks great in black and packs down to a ziploc large sandwich bag size or so. You can even flatten it and vacuum seal it in a freezer bag to make it pack more compact. If you are traveling, the utility to weight ratio is excellent. Having one of these with you will give you additional flexibility to manage your space and belongings. Doesn't look very weather proof and definitely not rugged. Use it on sunny days and do not drag it on concrete.

This bag is light and small when folded into the pocket so is very easy to pack and store. It does not have structure like a typical duffel bag so is not great for everyday use but has come in handy to get souvenirs home or use it to move between places on trips when I don’t want to pack quite as well. I’ve also found it helpful to use as an under seat bag on planes if I need to gate check my carry on. Only thing I wish it had was a handle since the shoulder strap can be a bit unwieldy.

I bought this duffel bag so I can use it as a "Just in case" type extra bag during travel. I've already needed to use it a handful of times, and every time I use it, I am amazed. It is light and tiny when you have it folded up, but it fits a lot more than you think. I've even put some children's books which had hard covers and sharp enough corners, and it held up no problem. It's a minimalist bag so I don't think comfort is the top priority when they designed it, but it does the job.

This bag is exactly as advertised. It packs down super tiny and expands to a nice size duffel bag. The material is really thin but seems strong, and construction is solid all around. Perfect for bringing on a trip for extra souvenirs on the return, or throwing in a ski bag to stash wet gear.

Not very comfortable

This is an efficiently designed, lightweight, low footprint duffel. I use it as a gym bag locally and when I travel. Packs down small and folds into its own packet. That pocket has a reversible zipper for keys. Also has intelligently placed loops to add clips on or to hang on hooks. Excellent bag for lightweight and/or space conscientious folks.

So multifunctional, love it!

We bring this when going away for a weekend or on vacation incase we need an extra bag or for sightseeing, packs very small and is very light.
