Happy customer... Happy child
It took me days of reading product reviews and searching through Amazon to find a lab coat that I felt was almost perfect for my child. I came across this kid's lab coat and decided to buy it since there were so many good reviews and it looked really nice. The people and photos did not let me down. This lab coat came right on time and wrapped in plastic looking new. I did buy a size 2/3 for my daughter who will be 3yrs old in a couple weeks. To give you all an idea of how it fits I've included some photos. My daughter is about 29lbs and right at 3ft tall. I was skeptical to buy this since I thought a size 2/3 would be too small. Turns out, the coat is a little too big. As you can see from the photos, the coat is a little past her knees. I don't have a problem with that at all since that means she will be able to wear it even longer and grow into it. My only suggestion would be that the sleeves be made a little shorter if possible. They are way too long but I folded them under so that's an easy fix. Based off of the length of the coat, maybe the sleeves are just right. The quality of the coat is better than I expected. By the photos it looks kind of silky. In reality it is very soft and comfortable to wear. It makes me want one for myself. The material used to make this looks and feels expensive, which makes this definitely worth the money. If you are undecided on whether to buy this, I am here to say that you will be happy with this product. The seller was great at answering questions and there is even a little information booklet that comes with the coat. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would buy it again.

I'd wear this in the lab if it fit me. This is the one to get.
This is such a well-made lab coat. It reminds me of my lab coat years ago when I did research in a lab. I wouldn't think twice to wear this in a lab if it fit me. The hems are neat, the buttons are securely sewn on (no need to reinforce them) and are easy to use, the pocket openings are reinforced, and the material for the coat is of a quality that is surprising for the price because of its thickness. I'm impressed! Regarding sizing, my son typically wears size 6 shirts. I purchased the size 4-6 lab coat and it fits him to a "T". Just as with an adult 3/4 lab coat, the length falls to his knees. Kudos to the McNeils for enclosing a thoughtful and lucid booklet about the coat and the Scientific Method that is both humorous and educational. I couldn't be more pleased with this lab coat, and the booklet is a real bonus.

If you're overthinking it like I did, just get this one.
It was hard to decide which dress-up lab coat to buy, and I really over-thought the decision, but I'm glad I ordered this brand. The fabric is impressive- it's higher quality than my actual, professional lab coat. The stitching looks good and the buttons are secure. The coat hangs nicely regardless of how much bulk my two year old is wearing under it. It also doesn't wrinkle as badly as I thought it might. I don't think the pockets are going to rip out even though he's hard on pockets. My kid was thrilled with it. He just turned two so I figured the size 2-3 would give him room to grow, and it looks like he will be able to wear it for at least a year and a half, maybe two years. I rolled up the sleeves for now, and they look fine that way. I was worried that the coat would look silly until he grew into it more, but it looks fine. The thick fabric makes it hold a nice shape instead of hanging in folds or seeming baggy.Excellent value especially considering the low price.

The Doctor Is In!!
Wasn't sure how this "lab coat" would fit my 3 year old but it still fits him perfectly at almost 5. He's worn out two doctor kits but this lab coat is still going strong. And, have to let you know that he's gotten two job offers from two hospital clinics based on his professional look and the confidence he exudes while wearing it (ok, ok, not REAL job offers but his Doctor friends have been quite impressed with his confidence and his bedside manner that seemed to rise when he started wearing this lab coat ;-)

A nice lab coat for kids, for kids doing science, doctor, etc.
I bought my 7-year old son a microscope, so decided to get him a lab coat so that he could pretend to be a scientist. My son is 4'2" tall, 60 lbs. I got the size that said "8-10" year olds. Coat is a little big, sleeves a little long. But, that's okay because he can grow into a little and get more use out of it. The material is thicker than I would have expected. It's not super soft, but I'm hoping it will soften over time with some washings.

Surprisingly High Quality for Such a Reasonable Price!
This coat is surprisingly high quality for such a reasonable price! It's a nice thick durable fabric and the buttons and pockets are securely sewn. This is not a cheap thin Halloween costume that will fall apart the first time you wash it--it's an actual authentic lab coat. I ordered the size 6-8 for my 4 ft. 1 in. tall 2nd grader, and the length fell right at his knees. The sleeves are about an inch too long for him, but it's doesn't hinder his movement or really bother him. My son is on the scrawny side, so this is also quite roomy in the chest and shoulders. The cut is tailored enough though that it doesn't look sloppy. I'd say it would comfortably fit most kids from 1st to 4th grade. It's perfect for dress-up or a school presentation. (My son wore it for "Dress Up As Your Future Career Day.") Great buy!

Thoughtfully designed with the small person in mind
My 8-year-old son recently became interested in chemistry and so we wanted to get him a lab coat that would help protect his clothes and body while he worked on experiments. After doing some searching, we found this lab coat by Working Class. The lab coat is wonderful. It is made of a sturdy weave of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The coat is of simple construction and clearly designed with the small person in mind. The coat has three patch pockets, one smaller pocket on the top left breast and two larger pockets on the lower half of the coat (one on each side). There are three buttons, enough to close the coat but not overly complicated for a child to fasten. The collar and shoulders sit perfectly on my son, and the lapel meets precisely where it should, leaving enough room to vent and covering most of his shirt. While it fts well, there's still room for growth. The sleeves are a little long (easy to roll up), which will accomodate him as he grows.
