CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 Education Edition [Old Version]

This is my go to software for a variety of imaging scenarios. I've edited photos for marketing campaigns, designed T-Shirts, and a whole range of other projects. For the price it does plenty without blowing the budget.

Have corel X3 and bought this update X5. Corel X3 shows thumbnails and previews of all its images that are Corel or photopaint files. X5 will NOT SHOW THUMBS or previews!!! None of our CDR files will show previews. There are 1000's of cliparts that we cannot tell what they are because the program will NOT show thumbs, just a little green pencil icon which is the corel x5 logo. Nobody in corel forums knows how to solve this problem, and there are many others who have this problem with their corel X5 too. corel Inc. will not do anything to help. too bad, the program seems to have many good features if you could just see your file thumbs.

I have had this program for years, since it came out and to date, I have had two major issues with it. Twice, I started getting ILLEGAL COPY messages which locked up my screen and I had to go to Task Manager cancel it out. In the message, it tells me that I need to purchase the program for $299.00 which, today, is NOT the correct price as it is now obsolete.But, even so, I have used this program for years and it has served it's purpose but today, it is totally WORTHLESS and I would strongly advise everyone to find another graphics program as CorelDRAW has built in flaws in it that Corel will NOT work out.And currently, I am waiting for a response for their technical people to get with me to discuss this problem. There is NO WAY that I am going to purchase this program again as when I bought it, it was a ONE TIME purchase ONLY, NOTHING being said about having to pay for it more than once to keep it running. And, I purchased it out of our electronics store where they answered most all of my questions pertaining to upgrading and all that goes with it. NOTHING was said about any future requirements that needed payment of any kind.This program would be a good program if Corel would have trouble shot it before marketing it.!!My strong recommendation is to NOT PURCHASE THIS PROGRAM as it will give you a headache before all is said and done!!!!!!!!

Been using CorelDraw for the past 15 years. Had to replace mine as my current version wouldn't work w/ my new computer that has Windows 7. Got a great deal buying it here. It's a daily tool for me.

Creating effective illustrations that help students visualize basic concepts has always been the biggest obstacle to teaching geometry. CorelDraw has been my solution to this dilemma since returning to teaching three years ago. And now that the program has fallen to a manageable price for teachers, I highly recommend it. Take a poll on "most-hated high school subjects" in almost any crowd and geometry will come in near the top almost every time. This is unfortunate in a society that depends on geometric concepts for building the future. CorelDraw helps remove the pain, allowing me to develop worksheets and basic sketches that the students can use to draw, measure and see how our world is constructed. Best of all it allows the students to escape those tiny, confusing, random sketches in textbooks that has traditionally horrified geometry students for generations.  CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 Education Edition  is better, easier to use, and far cheaper than earlier versions.

I've been using Corel Draw graphics suite for a great many years. I've always loved the product. I've just begun to use this version and can find no fault with it. I originally found the product easy to learn to use, and it is powerful. I consider it best in it's class though I'm sure there are a great many who would argue that point.

I have utilized CorelDraw since the Windows 3.1 days and now am recommending the suite for my kids. The capabilities/power of this package are worth every penny and more.

I bought this dvd, installed it and recently had to re-install and it would not work. I can't get dvd to do boot or anything.
