I'm reading the reviews that this isn't an authentic M.A.C product is that true?

That is absolutely true. I received the product and it was nothing like the product from MAC. I would suggest not ordering it. Even though it's not as costly as the Brand product, it's not worth purchasing.

Does this transfer easily onto clothes, etc?

You can always sample the product at a MAC counter to get a feel for the texture of the product, it is a cream consistency and will transfer to whatever it touches. It feels very light on the skin but if used on its own will rub off onto clothes.
