TRLYC Double Color 1 Yard White and Silver Reversible Sequin Fabric for Wedding Dress Reversible Sequin Pillow Fabric

I saw mermaid fabric being used at the clinic my son gets physical therapy at, being used for activities targeting sensory issues, and I totally fell in love with the idea and decided to copy that at home, so I purchased this. I have, however, tried to keep multiple uses in mind as I write this review, and my star rating actually reflects a mix of things for uses as a dress, table dressing, and sensory board activity.So I love the color, and to me it looks more like a teal then a turquoise in person. If you look at picture number one, what you will notice that with all of the sequins brushed the same way, some of them are sewn on with the silver color facing on the teal side. So, for a sensory board, this isn't any sort of big deal. If you are wanting to make a dress out of it, this may be a concern for you. I know it would personally drive me batty, but then I have issues that way.Next up, if you are wanting to use it for sensory or fine motor, you can draw on it, that's picture two, but it does take a bit of work.If you look at picture three, just a heads up (and this is not reflected in my rating but is rather information for you) the edges of this are cut across without being seamed over, etc. So what this means is that if you are using this for a table or sensory board, unless you either sew over these edges, or maybe douse them liberally in fabric glue, they are going to start to unravel and your sequins will start to fall off.Next up I'd like to direct you to picture number four...there are some areas on the back where the thread became gummed up in their machine as it was affixing on the sequins. Those areas may need some reinforcing if you are planning on using this more then once.And finally, picture number five is of the selvedge. There are two selvedge ends on this fabric, what I'm actually wanting you to look at is how the holes from the machine left areas that are already starting to run. These sequins are adhered to a cheaper, acetate style cloth. So this is going to need to be treated with care if you are wanting it for a dress, and I would think a lining fabric would be in order for a garment made with this type of fabric anyways. And it's something to think about if you are planning on using this as a sensory activity at a clinic with many kiddos and many hands.Otherwise, I think this is pretty cool looking stuff, and it definitely is a cool sensory activity. Just an FYI on those other points if you are considering this for other uses.

Quality looked really good in the bag. Until I opened it up to test out the sequins flipping. A huge section as wide as my hand doesn't even flip no matter how hard I run my hand through it. Some of the other sequins that did flip over wouldn't lay flat. The sequins aren't too thin and the colors are really pretty though... so sad.

Lower quality reverse sequins. Most of them would not flip due to way sewn in. Maybe I had received from a bad batch. Had to use anyway.

I got the product to cover a chair seat for my daughters room. She and all her friends love drawing on the fabric.
