Question 1

Is this one package with a treatment for each foot, or is it a double package with two treatments? (the x2 is not clarifying anything.)

The package contains two booties --one for each foot, for one treatment, total. By the way, I was confused about this, too. I thought the package would contain two treatments for two feet. It did not.

Question 2

I made a mistake and DID NOT soak my feet beforehand.  What is going to happen?

My daughter and I used it last October. We did not soak our feet and only left the booties on for an hour. My daughter's feet bagan to peel in about four days, mine took seven and I didn't think it would work. I read the reviews after we used it and soaking for at least an hour before putting on the booties on and leaving them on 2 hours (covered with a sock) is the way to go. It worked for both of us, but took much longer than expected, even into sandal weather, My daughter has very calloused feet and not all of it came off. You should fill your tub with water every time you shower to let them soak for a bit. Also, never force peel the skin, when it is ready to come off, it will easily peel away, you shouldn't have to scratch or pull on the skin to get it off. That means it is not completely ready to peel. We are doing another on this week. I can't wait!

Can I use these while nursing my baby?

It is fine to use while nursing.  Lactic acid is naturally produced by your body while exercising and breastfeeding mothers are encouraged to exercise like everyone else.  If you still have doubts then contact The Infant Risk Center at (806) 352-2519 Monday-Friday 8am-5pm CT.  They are the experts in everything breastfeeding and who I contact with any breastfeeding questions or concerns. :)
