I've got a 2003 Dodge ram 3500 installed it over 3,000 miles ago, I've got the digital number temperature gauge an it keeps my temperature right around 178-182 on back roads an city driving and between 188-194 on highway, couldn't b happier as fuel mileage went up .5 mpg as well, definitely better than bumping 205 with the stock thermostat on the highway.... definitely recommended, only advice if installing yourself is be sure it's installed correctly!! Mine did not come with a seal but I had a good extra one in my tool box... always remember torque to spec!!!

Failed in less that 1000 mi on cross county trip hauling horses. Wouldn’t open at all. Total overheat. Not happy setting along side the road with horses

I have purchased radiator caps from Gates and Stant and they were both marked with the Motorad name on them so when I purchased a thermostat, I thought it wise to just go and get it directly from Motorad. It is well made and should last as long as the OEM. You should change out your thermostat every time you do a flush because they do give out after several years and you will never know when it will be.
