Really nice anti-static pad, nice neutral color for home office
Multiple sizes to choose from, heavy duty and high-temp resistance for soldering directly on mat (I use another smaller square anti-static mat to solder on as to not mark up this mat), came with grounding snaps on both ends in the corners, wrist strap and nice long wire to run to ground. This is my second one from this company, would definitely buy additional.

Serves it purpose
It serves its purpose, but you can leave a mark with a soldering iron. It's not made of a silicone if you are wondering.

Functional yet slightly flawed mat
This item has a lot of size options so let me start by saying I got the 18 by 30 inch with .08 inch thickness.I am a low use user. In fact, this is my first time delving into fixing electronics and I have 2 phones I want to repair. I got this today and saw a flaw so I wanted to make a review right out of the box.First, the good things. It is a fair thickness. It feels strong, it lays down well enough and you can see the 2 layer design that makes it look effective based on what I expect from such a mat.The size is really good too. I can only imagine you need bigger if you are using it to fix computers. I love having plenty of space so for phone repair, this size is great. I wouldnt go smaller or bigger. It also comes with a wrist strap and a wire to connect the mat to a ground, aka a screw in your electrical outlet. Now for the bad unless I am missing something. It has metal pieces on each top end of the mat for you to put the grounding wire, I forget what they call the kind of clip it uses, but there is no snap or screw on function, so the clip isnt really a clip. It doesnt even rest on it, because the weight of the wire rolls the clip off of the metal piece despite that they seem designed to fit one into the other. It is weird and I have to put a weight on the clip to keep it down. Disappointing. Still, as an amateur, I wanted something useful without spending a lot of money and not sure if other similarly priced mats do better.I am fine with the solution of putting a weight on it, but be aware of this issue.

Happy with it
Good product, easy to roll up and store, simple to use. Comes with a wrist strap, a grounding cord, and the mat has a pair of button connectors installed on neighboring corners. The product description doesn't mention it, but the grounding cord is similar to the what is listed in "Alphastat Table Mat Grounding Kit - Universal Snap Kit and 15' 1 Meg Male Low Profile Ground Cord". You use this cable to connect the mat to earth ground. It has a ring terminal that you'll connect to the center screw of an outlet cover.A small gripe is that I'd prefer that the wrist strap have a button connector on the end of it instead of an alligator clip. I like having a clean workspace, and it's a bit annoying to have their super-duper long grounding cord out just so I can have a secure connection to the mat. I realize that the alligator clip makes the wrist strap more useful to people who do stand-alone work on computer towers, but the strap is meant as an accessory for the mat and its features should reflect that.I'm still giving 5 stars because it's a good mat, but just know that you can find more helpful accessories elsewhere.

Large, good quality ESD mat
I purchased this when I building a new desktop computer. I needed a large mat so I could spread things out (used a full size motherboard). Size was just right, and quality was very good. And now I have it for other electronics project. I thought the price was reasonable compared to other products.

Great mat, high quality, tested ~10^7 ohms ptp, stands up to solder well
I've used this for a month or so now and really like it. I tested it (don't possess appropriate Megger setup with weights, but used a quality GM MetraHit) and results point to point all 5 ways and to center were repeatable between 10^6 and 10^8 ohms as it should be on the surface. Ground plugs provided are well secured and the mat seems to stand up to solder drips and hot air rework blasts just fine. Highly recommended.Take a bit to lie flat as some reviews mention, but all high quality mats do, I have worked in industry and implemented ESD controls at a number of companies and this is a good quality mat for the price that would be more than tough than enough for any home use.

works great for the deck
Had a new deck built a couple years ago - steel frame, composite decking - bad static shock whenever we touched the door to go inside after walking around on the deck. Got this to see if it would dissipate the static charge on the way in, after being out on the deck. Wired it to ground on an outdoor GFI outlet on the deck. Works great. So far, has stood up fine being outside in summer heat, rain, hail - and still eliminates the static shock. We do have to take it inside when high winds are forecast....

Good ESD mat, but it does not lay flat
The ESD mat has two 10mm snaps, one in each of two corners of the mat. While this gives the ability to install the ESD grounding cord on either the left or right side of the mat, both snaps protrude from the bottom of the mat significantly and the mat does not lay flat (and it will not settle flat, either). I ended up drilling out the unused snap and putting a blue sticker over the hole. The mat itself seems to be of very high quality materials. The grounding cord comes with a dual banana jack conveniently located on the mat. The ESD wrist strap seems to be high quality as well.Overall, I consider it to be a good mat. To the manufacturer, I would suggest two things: 1) do not pre-install the snaps, but instead include one snap that the user can install; and 2) use a different snap that does not protrude from the bottom as much.
