Everdock Single Docking Station by FUZ Designs

I've been using this dock for a while now with an iPad Air 2 and it's amazing. The adjustable inserts are great. When I dock the iPad Air 2, I dock it with the smart cover folded back and a thin clear case, and it fits in the dock well. The "suction" like material on the bottom is genius. I can remove the iPad from the cradle with one hand without the dock staying attached and knocking everything over. I didn't realize how important this would be when I ordered the dock. The only complaint I have is inserting the iPad into the dock, especially when it's dark (I keep the dock by my nightstand). I can't really fault the dock, since it's designed to be generic and fit as many devices as possible. But it's sometimes difficult to align the iPad in the dock without turning on the lights. I feel this is more of an Apple design issue than an issue with dock (the nexus 7 has pogo pins and docking it in the dark was no problem), so I haven't removed any stars for this.

Originally I posted this as a scathing review titled "NOT compatible with latest iPhone/iPads."This was because I didn't see the lightning cable adapter in the packaging (it's good packaging, with a special little hole for the aforementioned adapter). As I was irately re-packaging the dock to return it, I found the little guy in there and so far it seems to work well. Having the adapter instead of a special cable enables you to swap cables if you need a longer/shorter/replacement lightning cable.A bit on the pricy side, but the heft and build quality are good, so far I'm pleased with the functionality as a charging dock for my iPhone 6+ at work.I'm not seeing the correct way to remove the image associated with my original review, so take that as an example of WHAT NOT TO DO.

I have an iPhone 6 with a very normal slim case. For the money, while very well made, this dock just doesn't work well. I honestly can't understand where all the great reviews came from. I'm pretty handy and have used every gadget in the book and can tell you that this isn't worth the money from a functional standpoint.- When installing the lightning cable into the adapter, in order to keep the cable from moving up and down you have to pull it really tight and thread it underneath the base. So tight that there is no way the flimsy apple cable will survive more than a few months. Even after pulling it tight the cable still slides out making removal of the phone harder (and then you're faced with shoving the cable back in, removing it and pulling it tight again - that's why it won't last long).- The phone isn't even close to stable as it's resting on the cable and little else. Could it be because of the case? Sure but then don't advertise that the dock works well with so many cases. Without the case the phone also doesn't sit well using the thicker silicone adapter.- And there's no way I'd try this dock with an iPad - no chance of that being even remotely stable.Just not a good purchase.

These docks are garbage, quite frankly. When you use a genuine Apple cable (which of course is the only cable that works, you can't use a third party one like Amazon Basics), the devices wiggle around when they are placed on the dock. Why? Because the way it sits, it has the connector, then the plastic piece, then it meshes flushed with the dock. So rather than the device sitting almost flush with the bottom of the cradle, it's balancing a few mm off the dock. With an iPhone 6+ and iPad mini, the results were downright meh. Further adding to the problem, despite the fact that it was threaded properly, the Apple connector isn't firmly in place. Because you take the cable and thread it through the "adapter", then stick the adapter in the cradle. So I found that my connector would tend to push slightly down and up...basically, it's just not a great device if you own an Apple product. If I owned an Android, the cables that come with it are one piece. That is, there isn't an "adapter" really, it just has a micro USB. It wouldn't push around, the fitament would be better, you name it.The dock itself is heavily constructed and feels well-built. But the overall fit of my Apple devices is terrible, and the interaction with the genuine Apple cable is very poor.

Guess you get what you pay for. Much heavier than anything else out there, sticks to the surface for 1 hand phone removal. My only grip would be the actual phone does wobble a bit once plugged in. I dont use any phone case so maybe if you did it may wobble less. Never the less great quality.

Really want to love this, but I'm not sure. It is high quality, I wish they had one size larger silicon bumper so my phone rests on more than the micro usb. Even with the largest rubber adapter installed my phone sticks up a mm over the base and is entirely supported by the usb. the phone is a gs4, hopefully the iPhone 6 rests tight against the base.

My initial review gave this a 1 star rating based on the following.The reviews on this sounded wonderful and it is a nice looking stand but unfortunately the build quality of the one I received in gunmetal was terrible and I sent it back for a refund. The finish was uneven and scratched, the thick silicon pad was faded, the FUZ logo was off centered so it made the silicon pad stick out over edge.Since I posted this initial review FUZ sent me a new dock which has proven to be of excellent quality do I am upgrading my rating to ( stars for the product and their excellent customer service.

When I saw the videos and reviews I thought found the perfect iPhone 5 dock, but when I received I was happy until it didn't work like it was suppose to it does hold a grip to my desk and this came with the black rubber thing one for my iPhone when I have it without a case and the other with a case but the one thAt is for when I have a case came messed up and ripped so I just have the dock all dull without the rubber thing. Really was hoping that this was a good dock.
