Peace of mind
I had experienced bed bugs a couple of years ago in a motel in San Francisco and wanted to ensure that I didn't repeat the unfortunate experience. The shelves were a little larger than I expected so I did not pack my clothes on them before putting them in my suitcase as recommended. I just folded them on top and had no problem closing my 20" suitcase. The best part of course is that I was able to put all the clothes I had brought on the shelves and had the peace of mind of knowing there were no critters crawling over my stuff. Definitely worth the money!

Great Idea but ...
I travel on a lot of trips with one or two night stays and then on to the next place. I thought this would help with eliminating the packing and unpacking for just the night or two. I thought it would help with finding things quickly. It almost does that...however...I am down to only taking one carry-on and this unit only fits into the largest carry-on bag which is also the heaviest. I tried putting the clothes on the shelves and couldn't close the carry-on. I put the clothes into space saver bags, then on the shelves and the carry-on wouldn't close. Then I put the shelves in, then rolled the space savers as usual and everything fit. So off I went. When I got to the B & B I took out the rolled bags, set the shelves in the closet, opened the space savers and put them on the shelves. Yes, it did help organize and keep my clothes safely out of buggy legs and mites. When it was time to pack up for the road trip I took the shelves off the closet bar and everything fell out. Not a time saver there. But since we had a car I didn't have to tightly close the carry-on. It ended up I tied a ribbon around the shelves so the clothes wouldn't fall out and just carried the shelves to the car and put them in the trunk, then at the next stop carried them in.Not really great for what the shelves did. Don't think I'll be using them much. DESIGN NEEDS TO INCLUDE SOME SORT OF CLOSURE FOR WHEN THE SHELVES ARE OPEN OR PLACE THE HANGERS CLOSER TO THE FRONT SO SHELVES TIP BACK.

Totally beats living out of a suitcase!!
This is actually one of those things that I wish I had invented. I have bought those cheap organizing shelves to lay flat in my suitcase and then just thrown them out after the trip because they don't fold back up the same way. This was perfect for me!! It is made to fit into a carry on bag but I used it in my larger suitcase (because who goes away for 2 days and brings only a small carry on - hahaha!). I packed stuff on the shelves and then placed other things in the free space in my suitcase. When I got to the hotel I hung the shelves up and it was great not having to dig through my suitcase and make a mess every time I wanted to find something. Repacking is always my worst nightmare because and this made it a breeze! Everything was already either folded on the shelf or in my laundry bag. I would totally recommend this! I probably would have bought the larger one but I needed it quickly and this one shipped with Prime.

Easy unpacking in hotels
Can't believe I did not try this sooner. This makes the packing process easier - as I can see what I've packed. Easy unpacking in hotels, and re-packing as well. The shelves must have enough strength to hold your clothes - but also be slightly flexible to enable it to fit and pack easily. does a good job balancing these requirementsDrawbacks:-Size may be slightly too large for some suitcase footprints-If you're not careful, you could spill your clothes (as some reviewers mentioned) but this is not a big challenge.

Makes traveling easier
Just got back from my first trip using this. Greatest invention ever!! We spent 10 days on the road, staying in 7 different hotels, and this made my trip so much more enjoyable. Was able to pack and unpack quickly, finding exactly what I needed quickly, and kept clothes relatively wrinkle free. It did not add much bulk to my suitcase, like I thought it might. Only wish they sold the smaller size on Amazon since I like to use a smaller suitcase for shorter trips. The only problem I had was that the first hotel room did not have a conventional closet, but more of a wardrobe, and the pole came from back of the closet out toward me, but was able to overcome this obstacle by lengthening the straps and hooking them over the pole with the shelves opening towards me as normal (this worked because the opening wasn't much wider than the shelves, so they didn't turn.)

Shelves too large for carry on.
The shelves would be quite nice if they fit (which they do not) into my carry on, a spinner which curves in very slightly around the zipper. The shelves require either completely straight sided luggage or larger luggage.

I am SO glad I found this!!
I found this thing as I was looking at packing tips for a trip. It is a wonderful little invention! I got it just before I went away for a short vacation. I hung it on the closet door and packed little by little, well in advance of my trip, without having the suitcase lying out to be tripped over somewhere. It kept everything organized and made unpacking a breeze. I plan to use it when I go camping, and just hang it in the camper and not have to rifle through my bag to find things! The suitcase I use it in is bigger than the "weekender" they recommend... leaves room for extras like shoes and toiletries. And it helped me to not OVER pack [quite so much...]. Have only used it twice so far, but it seems quite sturdy. I recommend it to anyone who travels. Love it!

Awesome product but you need to pack on the lighter side
easy to use and helps keep you organized when you are living out of a bag. But you kinda got to pack on the lighter side because the shape and design doesnt allow you to cram much in the luggage. I live very far from family and every time I visit this makes life a lot easier
