Most fans are quiet if you by the cheep ones they are most times make noise spend a little more and get a good one

You might be able to use it. You’ll probably have to remove the rack. It is just held in with machine screw.Make sure you have accounted for any protrusion, like the power cable.Opening: 19¼” x 16” (W x H)Dimensions rack in: 11¾” x 17¾” x 16” (D x W x H)Dimensions rack out: 16¾” x 19¼” x 18¾” (D x W x H)

Q: Can I use this to house a gaming system/audio receiver, or is it just for servers?

You could use it for gaming system / audio receiver, just make sure the width and depth fit in the box and you have good air flow. The front and back rail system is adjustable for depth not for width. You also will likely need a rack shelf to support the devices unless they are already standard rack mountable.
