Q: Is spaghetti sauce separate?

No it's not separate. The meat needs the sauce to stay shelf stable. However, to calculate the sodium for the entire package is you take the sodium count shown x (times) the amount of servings it shows. So this is hard to see, it looks like 1020mg of sodium x 2 servings = 2040mg of sodium if you eat the entire package in 1 serving. So the sodium listed on items is very hidden if you don't know how they calculate it. I remember my mother would eat pre-seasoned popcorn all the time. I asked her what was the sodium? She said 400mg so she said it was safe to eat. I asked her what was the number of servings and it was 8 servings. So 3200mg of salt total because she would eat it all in one serving. So my Mom stopped eating that pre-seasoned popcorn.
