Overall a Great Product for Streaming and Game Capture
I bought this and found the features to be great, robust, and easy to use. The Avermedia software works well with a sweet of tools to use as a standalone if you are not looking to use with OBS or another streaming tool.I choose this card due to the pass-through features. As I play competitively online I wanted to limit the input lag for streaming which I have been limited to on some Elgato and Hauppauge Capture cards I've purchased in the past.As I am playing at 1440p at 144hz this is the perfect range for my current setup and I am also able to record the 1440p 144hz easily without any impact to my gaming. This card is also well placed in terms of value with 4K HRD recording features (gameplay capture set at 4K60hrz - record 4K30Hrz) which will be great for the next generation consoles coming out this November/December 2020.Please keep in mind that you will need a pc or laptop to use this capture card. & and USB extension cables you use will not work so the device will need to be close to the PC/Laptop.

Excellent capture card with pretty good app
After checked hundreds of reviews, communicated with some Twitch streamers, I decided to choose GC553 since I really need a good 4K passthrough capture card. It's very easy to connect and setup, the CyberLink video editing tool is also useful to me. Under my system : Intel i7 8th Gen. 8550U, 16GB DDR3, GeForce MX150, 256G SSD, Windows 10 64bit Home, it runs pretty smoothly, so far. The By using RECentral software to record in HDR mode is one of the most amazing feature to me, with my PS4, I only need to perform some minor adjustment, then the picture quality is quite perfect. Recommend this tiny card to both beginner and professional level streamers.

Good deal
Absolutely recommend.I was hesitating when looking for other comments regarding the compatibility of iOS system (having mac book), but after a while and some more studies, I found that iOS version and all the settings should match the requirements. So there you go! and I am totally satisfied with it!I have used it since a while, around I guess more than 50 days. I have to say this card brought really stunning user experiences. I don't even feel the latency at all and it's just running smoothly every time when I went live streaming.Good product and I think the price is definitely worth it.

Works FLAWLESSLY with ps5
Best capture card I’ve ever owned, had Elgato original game capture HD since it come out, became “defunct” after purchasing next gen console as Elgato doesn’t support the 120fps on that model simple price to what I paid that time ago but avermedia offered up to 240hz! So it’s next gen proof and then some!I run i7-8th Gen32gb Ram1tb nvme SSD4gb nvidia 1650 tiHonestly, hands down it’s flawless let’s me use my 144hz monitor and output 120fps as a pass through and record/stream in as close to that at 1920/1080p60fpsTrust me before you buy use the Avermedia Diagnosis Tool, if it ticks the box on everything green but states the graphics card might be problematic, use common sense, if it’s 2gb+ then it’ll be fine! Thanks!

Probably amazing.......if you have an Intel PC to stream on.
I wanted to replace my Razer Ripsaw HD as it has........limitations.Bought this after looking at the specs and it ticking all the boxes I wanted. Installation for me was simple - I just plugged an HDMI cable from my main PC's graphics card into it and the USB into the 2nd PC and voila........ or not in my case.Reading online, it says that it has issues with an AMD B350 motherboard - great says I, I don't have one of those, I have a B550 motherboard in my streaming PC. Except my AMD rig couldn't detect it.Tried 3 USB ports - nada. Nothing. It powered, it illuminated blue just like the documentation said it would. But wouldn't detect. Used the Aver diagnostics tool, checked Hardware Mangler, zip, nada, nowt.Reading the manual, and I think THIS is where it seems very specific, you have to use a USB 3.1 Gen 1 port. The B550 board I have only has USB 3.2 Gen 1 and Gen 2 ports - and none of them found it.So it got returned. Shame - because this seems a REALLY solid product. My only options from AverMedia is either an internal card (not keen as it would semi block the GPU fans) or the Thunderbolt box (which is twice the price, plus I'd need the extra addon board for my motherboard which is another £100).Maybe they need to update it for other USB ports though - the PC world moves pretty fast and it SHOULD work with USB 3.2, but my experience is it just doesn't.

Did not work on a 2019 Macbook pro
The use case was to encode the 4K video from a Atomos Ninja Flame for Zoom/ Twitch. Did not work or produced reliable video despite support. Replaced with a £10 chinese HDMI capture card.Returned on the day it was received.

Better to stay at home
As a deep video gamer, I've been forced to stay at home for days, which is kind of benefit to me. Read an article on PCGAMER and found that AVerMedia has some badass streaming devices so I ordered one from Amazon. Delviery was extremely fast ( thanks to Amazon), and started my first live gaming streaming video. I didn't get into any trouble in connecting with my MBP and xbox. Asked my cousin as my first audience and test the video quality, he said there's no latency at all and the video is turely streaming with 4K quality, which is surprising me because I have followed other live gamers' channels, and many of them have latency on streaming which make me think it's my bandwidth's problem. But now I know it's the problem of the quality of capture card. Will highly recommand live gamers this product.

Easy to get started
Working as intended and easy to get started, I guess there are some things that have changed on the software side since it was first released but that’s only for the better. Bought it for my kid who’s streaming Nintendo Switch (among other things) on YouTube, and he has used it more or less daily since he got it without any hiccups.
