Sport Marine SE Sport SE400 Hydro Foil Gray for 40 HP and Up 74644

I put this on a 24 foot tritoon with a 200 horsepower Mercury Verado. The performance difference is absolutely amazing. I think everyone's results will vary depending upon what motor you have, but I saw an increase in top speed and better fuel economy, no joke! I read other reviews that said this was difficult for them to put on, but quite frankly I just don't see how. I used the no drill mount and so far it has stayed secure. One piece of advice, it does say do not over tighten the bolts which I unfortunately did and broke one. I ran to Home Depot and got another carriage bolt.... problem solved. This has been hands down the most effective $80 I ever spent on my boat.

I installed this on the 125 HP Mercury motor on my 2014 Sting Ray 19 1/2 ft boat and it made a world of difference. Before the boat was difficult to get on plane, and speed was difficult to hold steady in the range of 15 to 20 mph, especially towing a skier. Now the boat comes up on plane at much lower speed, never noses up the bow, and stayes nearly level at all speeds when I lower the motor fully until up to about 25 mph. At higher speeds adjusting the trim properly still gets me about 42 mph maximum. I think I may have given up about 1 mph top speed, but the performance at lower speeds where we usually operate is remarkedly improved. I didn't try to rush the installation and wanted it to be totally correct, but it still took me only about an hour, no drilling required. This is the best value I've ever gotten for upgrading a boat!

Okay, I was skeptical but I needed to try something. I have a 2007 Skeeter SL190 with a Yamaha 150 four stroke that I bought in 2017. It is difficult to get it to plane out, especially when I have the family in it (4 total). This issue is even worse at our local lake that get real rough and choppy a lot. So much so that my wife does not like going out to this lake anymore unless there is no wind. Still even then it takes more effort than I like to plane it out. Now with the SE Sport 400 that has all changed. The boat planes out faster and the ride is so much smoother. The ride was a bonus because the planning out issue was the number one reason I bought this. This was worth every penny, changed my boat for the better!!!!

Since I installed this I have spent about 9 hours on the water. Inteacoastal waterways and salt water canals. It has had zero negative effects on speed and has had awesome effects on performance with getting on plane. Best investment I made for the Boat so far. This is on my 16 Ft Robalo R160 with a 70hp Yamaha.

I can't even begin to tell you how much this has improved the performance of my boat. I have a 16' Larson with a 112hp outboard engine and a bad tendency to porpoise. This has greatly reduced the porpoising and as an added benefit I've noticed greatly improved turn performance as well, much more responsive to the wheel. Very easy install too, it took maybe 20 minutes.

My boat: 88 20ft Playbouy scotty boat 2019 (sb2019), 2 adults, limited seating, Johnson 48spl 13x11 prop.NO loss of top speed, so lets squash that claim.. Still kickin @ 20mph. Holeshot way more improved. Turning WAY improved. Trim moved up one hole, and CAVITATION GONE. Solid bite on the prop during turns, waves, etc. Still doesnt plane worth a crap, but hey, its a pontoon.Worth the $90 incl shipping? In my mind, its a toss up in MY case. Eliminating cavitation was my #2 goal. Improving plane was #1 but Im givin up on that. The drill-less install is ok, but I drilled my front 2 bolts, and I have no metal to drill in the rear bolts. The se300 might fit it better. On a regular boat, I would imagine it actually performs better on planing.

Ok so I knew this product works well. It allows my Tahoe Q4 19ft Ski/fish to start planning at 15knots and now doesn't struggle to get on top of the water. Its comes onto the plane so effortlessly with my small merc 4 cylinder 140hp and the SE400 its amazing BUT.... I stress tested it with a full load of people and we must have been really close to being at the limit of 1100lbs of people and gear. So the boat was low in the water and heavy but she still had heaps of power and easily got onto the plane. Even towing a biscuit was no problem. 30mph easily. She felt like she'd hit the top speed of over 40 too but I didn't risk it with all those people. Awesome - you wont regret it...

I bought this for my 26 foot 8000 pound Wellcraft,single 5.7 l with a 13 pitch prop. I do not believe this product was designed for something that heavy. The installation went exactly as the video explained it only took 15 to 20 minutes but I believe it was designed for Outboards and lightweight watercraft. I will be removing it immediately anyone who would like it I will send it to them for free for the cost of shipping.
