This product is good tasting without being high in sugar. My kids love hoisin sauce. I buy this one, because it isn't as sugary as some others on the market. If you are expecting a very sweet hoisin, this isn't for you. It is not as sweet as traditional hoisin, but my kids accept it as their favorite dipping sauce for chicken, pork, etc.

Earthy and umami, really good! It'd make an excellent marinade for stir-fry or BBQ. As others mentioned, it's mislabeled and not the Vietnamese sauce, though.

It is very thin. Runny like soy sauce but sweet. It's not really hoisin, but tasty. Won't work for applications where a traditional thick hoisin sauce is needed such as a condiment for mu shu.
