As soon as the grass is dry, you can return the dogs to the yard. I applied on a sunny day, so about 3 hours later, it was safe.

It should work on any type of ant outside, however this will not stop another colony from moving in once this colony has been eliminated. Be persistent with laying down the graduals every few months to avoid new colony’s from moving in.
