Infant Insert for use with Height Right High Chair, Cherry

This high chair (and seat) seems so much superior to the ones I have seen at other people's homes. It is very easy to keep clean, which was important as I had seen how disguisting the seats and padding can get from other types. It looks much classier as well if you'd prefer that not every room of your house become a land of multi-colored baby stuff. The design of the seat is very nice - soft enough to be comfortable, but firm enough to help smaller babies stay in place. Depending on the age you begin to use this, you may need to use some hand towels on either side to ensure the baby doesn't lean (or fall) over.

We lover EVERYTHING Keekaroo! This seat is easy to clean and my daughter loves the color. It was also easy to put on the high chair. Keekaroo customer service is also amazing. We received our chair from a friend and it needed new straps. I was willing to purchase them but because the chair was less than 5 years old, they sent me new straps for free. We also have their changing pad (peanut). So worth the money! This will last for all babies we plan to have!

We have the keekaroo high chair and this insert has been wonders. We used it for her from 5 months until 11 months. I don't see how you could have an infant sit comfortably and steadily without it. We also got the cushion back. Again, I dont see how an infant could be comfortable without both. I highly recommend this until they are tall enough to sit without the support. It also wipes clean really easily. The material feels rubbery but has a smooth comfortable finish. We have it in red, looks awesome too!

I ended up sending this infant seat back because it did not fit well into the chair. At the highest adjusted seat position it was a tight squeeze and at the lower wrung it was not secured into position well and using the tray with it was difficult. It seemed like it would be more trouble than it was worth. My little guy has loved his Keekaroo high chair even without the infant seat. Initially, (at age 6 months) he would just lean over onto the tray when he got too tired to sit up. At 8 months he sits in his chair and happily baby talks to me the entire time I am making supper. The infant seat is necessary if you do not plan on using a tray with your Keekaroo chair.

The insert is great and seems like it will hold up well. My 6 month old is able to sit at the table with the family now! My only complaint is with the design itself. Food/crumbs get down into the holes where the safety straps come up through, and it's really difficult to get it out. The only way I've found is to shove the angled tool for the vacuum in there, and hope it gets everything. Otherwise, you have to basically disassemble the high chair to get under the insert to clean. Not a deal breaker, but a bit of a pain...I'm just glad that I got such a great deal on the high chair and the infant insert, or I'd probably be a little more frustrated.

If you have a smaller child (ours has been in the 20th percentile) get this, you won't regret it. We doodled on it because it's so expensive and our son "kinda" fitted in the high chair, he just didn't look very comfy. With this he is comfy, supported and concentrates on the task at hand...feeding the dogs cheerios. We have used it from 6 months, he's now 10 months and will have a lot more use out of it yet.

We got it together with the high chair for our then 4 1/2 months old. At that time it definetivly provided more support for sitting (and that's all she wanted to do from 4 months on). We probably used it longer than needed (almost up to 1 year of age), but she still liked it. However, eventually we removed it and turned the seat plate around so that the velcro could stay where it is for later re-use.

Keekaroo advertises this as being free of latex, PVC, BPA, phthalate, and formamide, but they won't reveal what it DOES contain. Why the secrecy? That, to me, is a red flag!
