I can't really speak to durability since I've only been using these for about three weeks but boy I love these kitchen shears. They cut smoothly and are comfortable to handle.

I have a special use for a scissors and after our permanent visiting dog decided to eat things I had handled, she managed to get her mouth on an inexpensive pair of scissors within her reach. They had a soft handle and she chewed off the entire handle leaving me with the hinged blades. Might have been all right with some adjustments as a sewing scissors but not suited for the task. So I ordered these.Make no mistake, these are sort of nice scissors. They feel almost good in my hand and they seem to cut well although the action is a little loose for my taste. But they too have what I now know to be edible handles, so I took an old hair cutting scissors (all metal) for the specific task and put these in the office...which I just realized is a mistake. I think I'll try them in the kitchen.
