You truly get what you paid for in a good way with this flash light. I have not run into any problems with it. It’s been dropped a fare amount of time, and it keep on delivering. Well made flash light.

This is my current edc light. It's bright and durable. I leave in the low/high setting bit, I like how there are multiple settings. Additionally, having a rechargeable battery that doesn't rely on the light is great in case either fails. I always have a set of cr123 and a rechargeable battery in my car.

Well made, but lots of alternative lights out there that also seem well made for less money.

Added comment 9-20-2023 re serviceI was having an operational problem with my light where, after following the programming instructions to the letter, it began working intermittently. I would have to tighten or loosen either the tail cap or light lamp end to get it to work.I sent it off to Streamlight for service only a week ago and received it back today. V-E-R-Y impressed with Streamlight's service. As of right now, the flashlight appears to work as advertised.9-21-23 Follow upRemoved batt to top off charge and reinstalled. Problem I had previously happened again. This time called Streamlight Cust Service (someone in the >US< actually answered!). he light returned to me is brand new. Per service rep's suggestion, using a fine emery board, sanded the inside edge of the tail cap (the portion that contacts the light body). That fixed it.I've increased my review to 5 stars simply because of my experience with Streamlight's customer service. "Tactical" flashlights appear to be a highly competitive business with several that have been around awhile and offer top-notch quality products and domestic-based support. To my estimation, Streamlight is one of those.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Purchase comments:Durability and build appears similar in quality to previous SureFire I owned and current Fenix lights I currently own. I have a set of Streamlight LED lanterns I use for camping that are terrific devices. On these basis, I thought I'd try this Streamlight Protac. Discouraging at first trying to learn its arcane "programming" and that the light wouldn't stay on after clicking the switch. It does take a bit of finesse with the tail cap that needs to be screwed all the way on before the programming works appropriately and the light staying on the desired intensity. Had I been aware of this issue ahead of time I don't think it would have dissuaded my purchase.The tail cap switch is a bit of an issue for me. After watching several videos showing operation and reviewing the light, just can't use my thumb to activate the button switch the way others can. Could be related to my thumbs not being as flexible as those 30 years my junior. So I just use my forefinger to get the job done.My four star rating is based on my learning curve for operating the light.

I now have two of these flashlights with one in the house and the second in my truck. The size and light output are great for everyday use and combine with USB rechargeable batteries makes them really handy. I have had other lights in the past using other battery types but having one that can be easily recharged using a USB cable has been great. It’s more expensive upfront to have the rechargeable batteries but has been cheaper in the long run.

First... the flashlight is an awesome product that I use daily. It is dependable and produces the amount of light needed to do my job.Second... the belt holder case that came with the flashlight is top quality also. It holds the light snug and secure. The flashlight will go in and out the holder nicely, without have to dig around and pull hard to get out and in.Third... get the rechargeable battery. Can't express that enough. You will save a lot of money with that purchaseOnly one complaint... this complaint is not with the flashlight or case, nor battery. Rather, when I recieved the package, the charging cable was actually cut out of the package and missing. Not a broken package or anything like that, rather it was cut out. I find this rather disappointing, because when you have a rechargeable battery, with out that critical item, how are you supposed to charge it. Because I already own a few different Streamlight rechargeable batteries and also have a charging dock, I did not make a complaint to Amazon or anyone. But when you purchase this item, make sure the recharge cord is there.Finally... you will be very pleased with this flashlight. Streamlight flashlights have never let me down. You will see!
