Failure
Purchased for an at-home school science experiment. It broke within 15 minutes of first use. The temperatures being measured were merely between 60 and 190 degrees. It was calibrated for a wider range. This was disappointing. I was trying to teach my son a lesson in frugality when I urged him to find what he needed on Amazon. I have no idea what he learned after a mandatory late-night trip to Walmart to buy a different inexpensive thermometer at 4X the price of this one. Sigh.
