So You Call Yourself a Man?: A Devotional For Ordinary Men With Extraordinary Potential

I purchcased this book for the men in my life. I have 2 sons in college that come home often. I placed this book in the book rack in the bathroom without saying a word. I've now noticed 1 son completed his MA, one son completed his BA, BUT both sons active in our church starting a mens ministry and working with the young men. My husband has also come back to church and setting an example for our 8 year old daughter. I give God all the glory and praises. But I also credit this book. It is truly a good book with a excellent understanding for all to learn. It really teaches and give good examples to live by. It will really make you do some soul searching and correcting if needed. My dad has borrowed it and my brother in laws has asked for it also. So there must be something in it for everyone to gain.

This was a nice purchase. I purchased it for a gift/prize for our Church Bingo games. It looks good and I believe that its a good value for the money spent. I would purchase again.

This Book T.D Jakes wrote changed my outlook on life where I am right now in life. I enjoyed it so much, I purchased 15 copies and gave them out to my sons and some brothers in the church I attend. I've had the book on my shelf for almost 7 years and finally decided to read it. God works in wonderful ways!!!!!!!! Thanks Pastor Jakes for breaking it down and being real!!!!!!!

It is a wonder book I enjoy reading it. My youngest son is 27 he has finished it. He said he is going to read it again and give it to his sons. I wish it would have been a 10 stars rating. The Reader! LeRoy Heard Jr

This book was referred to me by a friend. As a woman, I chose to purchase it because I'm raising to sons and also because I happen to be dating a younger guy whom I think can use some guidance. That being said, I didn't realize I was getting a devotional. I thought it was more like a chapter book. I like that, in what I've read so far, the lessons don't only apply to men. On the other hand, being that I would like to use "manly" verbage and/or perspectives to communicate these important lessons to the men in my life, the book seems very generic in language. Nonetheless, it's an easy read and I find myself reading several of the devotionals in a day instead of just one.

Wonderful book for everyone, not just men. It was well written and insightful.

It deserves my rating. Its so real with real life issues. Focused on the deep matters of the heart that we're afraid to face on everyday life. And challenges us on how to change our perception about them to realise solutions that are life changing and transforming to not only me but also everyone around me.

I sent this to my husband when he was in jail before he went to prison. It really helped him to stop beating himself up and realize that he's been given a second chance because he's still here.
