Great book, very informative.

Great Book, Easy to read and to follow. Some chapters could have had a little more in depth, but over all its good reading. The pictures are in black and white and leave something to be desired, but still convey what is happening, making or using. The book came fast and in better condition than expected. If you really want to get into the making of the tools, and weapons, this is the book get.Thanks for making it available

I got this book for my husband who is a flintknapper (makes arrowheads). I usually get him flintknapping books but saw this one as one of the side books on the page and purchased it for a Christmas present. He has a bow that was made by a friend and has seen many homemade bows at the Knap-Ins we go to. It is a very good book with very good instructions. When he opened the present, he immediately said, "Yes! It is a book", as he knows I usually get him books and he loves the knapping ones, but he was thrilled with this one.

I bought this book as a resource to learn a little bit more about practical home-made tools, specifically the Cherokee style blow dart gun. It mentions this process and finished product but not in the detail it does for making arrowheads (flintknapping) and crating up a long bow. If your looking for a book for ether of those things including making shafts for arrows this is it. I'm glad I bought the book overall, its much thicker than I originally anticipated as well which was another plus. I rated it only as a 3 because of my anticipation for a more in depth section on weapons. I would buy it again however

A great starter book with nice detailed drawings

Excellent study guide for those woodcrafters living off the land or just out in the woods. Makes you appreciate the clever ways of the Indians back in the day.
