Highly recommended for mid range buyers
At this price range the best binoculars buy is this model. I have researched variant models, bought and then, returned. Finally, I went for the brand Olympus and satisfied.Authentic package with warranty card, manualGenuine Olympus modelVision is very clear8X zoom is marvelous while extend it to 16X is equally good with right focus adjustmentspretty heavy to hold but with practice it is finesophisticated lookBest choice for beginners while also for professionalsDay performance is best but as it comes with no night vision not recommended for dark night though, if the object has light then in night also it works extremely good (I checked a flying airplane at night).

Very good built quality
Very good built quality, Large coverage and clear view. We used it for our summer trip in June 2017 at Corbett National Park and nearby hill stations. Also great for bird watching. However lens covers are not attached to body so chance of losing if not careful. Also, these are not waterproof so need to be protected from moisture and rain.

Little heavy for birdwatching. Picture quality is not bad. Device material quality is too good. Cost is little high.

PICK OLYMPUS 8-16X40 Zoom Binocular which is a creation of Quality and Performance.
After a search of complete month and by reading lot of reviews and quality check and valuable experience of the customers from different sites I took decision of buying OLYMPUS 8-16X40. I received the package in the evening around 5.50 pm. I unboxed experiencing proper packaged, finally opening the box I realized after all brand is brand. I checked the binocular in the evening time around 6 to 6.45 pm it worked nicely in low light condition. Each and every control was smooth and quick responsive. I was pleased by the performance and its build quality. Nodoubt it is little bit heavier to carry and handle but for the result and performance you have to neglect such minor cons.Being a tech savy and around experience in technology from 15 years I too was cheated by the seller from flipkart regarding Bushnell binocular power view 20X50 who sold me a binocular of around 800 Rs to 1200 Rs for almost Rs 3999 showing me the MRP of Rs 13856 after that flipkart refunded me the amount after proving the cheat. Before purchasing any brand any binocular please dont trust on images and MRP displayed. But I have made no mistake in choosing OLYMPUS as a brand. For beginners no doubt NIKON is at No. - 1 but price and competitively OLYMPUS is second to it. It is available for almost half price of Nikon Aculon 10-22X50.The built quality of OLYMPUS is quite RUF & TUF sturdy at this rate of around Rs 6300. I am satisfied for its performance up to the level of 90%. Only the clarity deteriorates at higher magnification above 12X otherwise no issues in the product. If you are looking for brand and quality in such affordable rate from my side it is PICK.

Outstanding binoculars! Highly recommended.
I bought this one specially for wildlife and nature watching and I am very happy with this product. The item came in sealed pack and brand newThe lenses are crystal clear and you can zoom in and zoom out as well. The magnified view is not stressful to eyes and the range is really good. I could easily identify vultures flying on the sky and could see their beak colour as well.It comes with a 4 lens caps, free carrying case and a strap. The size feels robust and it is little heavier to hold. The body has rubbery finish which helps a lot in holding this. I think this is a very good purchase.

Good one
As a novice, I wanted to buy a binocular with zoom as I was not comfortable with a fixed magnification binocular. So was comparing this with nikon aculan models. Nikon ACULON A211 -10-22 x 50 has good reviews but for a beginner I think 22 power would be a overkill as for that I would need a tripod . Also, I hear that field of view is less in this model . So i chose this model. Now that I have received the product I am pretty happy with it. The zoom, focus everything works fine and as expected. Thanks

The magnification adjustment is a challenge
I bought these binoculars to gift my mom. The reason for buying 8-16X40 was to balance between weight and distance. I found the above reason satisfactory after holding them. When I use them I am happy with the 8 times magnification. As I start increasing the magnification I have to use the binocs straight only. If I tilt them a little up or down there is a spot where it starts getting blur. Comparatively, the 8X40 that I have is a better option, I feel. It’s lighter on the pocket also. Beginners would find this difficult to hold on to and focus at 10 and above magnification.
