Biotics: The Pre- and Pro-
I bought this Bene-Bac Plus about 6 months ago for my bunny named Luna. To start off with, I am a big pre/probiotic advocate for furry friends and humans. They are great at keeping the flora in the gut in check (which is especially important in bunnies to prevent GI stasis). I do recommend giving this in small quantities at first as stated on the back of the package, just to get their little bunny tummies used to it. I give this to Luna every day or really just whenever she runs out. I did try to sprinkle it on her vegetables at first, but in reality it made a huge mess and I wasn't sure how much product she was actually getting. So I resorted to mixing a teaspoon of the Bene-Bac Plus (my rabbit friend is about 6.5 pounds) with hot/warm water (the warmer water helps dissolve it quicker and more evenly) in her bowl which holds about 3.5 cups and roughly 0.25-0.5 tablespoon (I just do a splash so it could be more or less) of 100% apple juice with no added sugar, give it a quick stir and put it in her room. She will drink it all within 1-3 days because she loves the stuff. I only put the apple juice in it (I know it's not great) because she had some bladder sludge before she started this regimen because she hated the peasant tap water I was giving her. I would definitely recommend to try it without the juice first because Bene-Bac Plus does have some natural sweetness to see if your furry friend can palate it. My Luna will drink it without the juice, she just prefers it with the sinful apple concoction and she drinks it up quick and without a fight, so I'm going to leave it as is. Her bladder sludge is also gone (probably attributed to the excess fluids she's ingesting, but I'll take it!) She also runs and binkies all the time which she didn't do as often before this regimen. Soo, in conclusion I would get this product (I've already bought 2 so I don't run out) and this may work for other furry friends that aren't bunnies I just can only speak about my Luna-tic. As with anything that is newly introduced to our loved ones, take caution and know the warning signs for serious issues (maybe introduce it on a weekend or a time where you can be with them for at least 24 hours). Sorry, long review! But I hope it helps any future buyers!

Great Item.......
This item is great, as with any product from Bene-Bac, pre made gel, and this powdered form product. The reason being I like this powder constitution more, is if you have several animals or larger animals that need more - this is your rout to go! Example of what I was running into, I rescue guinea pigs, they are always sick when I get them. My vet only carries the 15 gram gel tubes. 1. They are only 15 grams (15 doses - recommended dose is one gram). 2. If you don't know exactually what's wrong/bacteria, and you don't want the next animal to get/use it, that tube is only good for that particular animal. With this 1 lb. unit - which is ALOT of doses, you can give more "stronger" doses, and use of it with multiple pets. Please remember this has the same exact probiotics as the gel version - it's just you have to reconstitute it with water. Also the only other problem I did have with this is the expiration date of the product. It was sold by amazon.com, it apparently is not a huge seller. It was only good for 1 month out of when I received it. Anyone who knows how truly much this 1 lb bottle will make - its more than what can be used up in 1 month. Be sure to check it when you get yours. Amazon was awesome about sending me a new one with no charge!! I love amazon's customer service - they let me donate that bottle (the one expiring in a month to my favorite guinea pig charity!!!) - super nice. But still when I got the second bottle it expires in December 2014 only a couple months out - still worth the price instead of $12 a tube at my vet!! Hope this helps!

So far so good!
Warning - this review may be graphic, but considering what this product is used for, that shouldn't be unexpected. Anyway, I got this for my foster dog, who was already having poop issues, and was about to start a 3 week course of antibiotics (for pre-heartworm treatment.) She wouldn't poop at all one day, and then the next she would have a big pile of loose stool, and then go around the yard squatting every few feet and squeezing out a little more. She was clearly uncomfortable, and this was obviously not much fun for me to clean up. I started her on the Bene-bac last week, the same day she started her doxy. So far she's pooped every day (once or twice per day), and not only is it much firmer, she's done in one go. It's a big relief for me, and I'm sure for her too.Edit: Ok, this is going to be gross too, but again, that's kind of what this product is about. One of my dogs starting having completely liquid diarrhea at about 3:00 this morning. After the second bout at around 3:15, I gave him a tablespoon of Benebac, thinking it couldn't hurt and might help. He woke me up again at about 4:00 to go out again, but that was the last time. It's been over 12 hours and no more diarrhea! The last time he started having the runs in the middle of the night, it went on all through the morning, and didn't stop until he started taking metronidazole that afternoon. I can't say for sure whether this time the Benebac stopped it or it had just run its course, but tell you what, I'll be giving it to him daily for the next few days, and probably an occasional maintenance dose after that, just in case.

Worked for my Kitty with digestive issues.
I have a 13 year old kitty that was having digestive issues with loose stool. I found out about this from come Cat Site. So I tried it. I gave it to her for 2 days and it helped thicken her stool. I also switched from Fish to Chicken only for her wet food. So hopefully it will stay working. I also recommend giving cats powdered Lysine if they start to seem sneezing and sick. I will keep using this in the future.
