Ogio 72-Inch Golf Umbrella

This thing is big, but I love it for work. I can hold it while having one or two customers (and me) under it at the same time without them getting wet. It's not heavy or hard to hold. It works pretty well in light wind. The clear sky on the underside is always a great conversation piece. Seems to hold up well.

Y'see, it is true that it's 72 inches in arc, maybe.But actual coverage comes to around 53 inches straight to straight and 61 inches corner to corner.The reason for the disappointment?Compared to my 68-inch arc umbrella, they both basically match to the 53-inch mark.So all I'm really getting is the extra length in the corners. Sure, that's nice, but I was really hoping for more than 1/16 in. more in all directions...particularly if you're asking me to lug the weight around! It's also a full 2 inches longer than the similar-coverage umbrella.And I say similar because in real use today, I discovered the round shape is just far more practical than square, unless perhaps you're looking to cover a wheelchair. I couldn't protect the front of my stroller with either giant umbrella.That aside:Pros:This umbrella seems very well-built. It's VERY heavy. I do think it's better built than my other giant umbrella. There's a click for lock closed, where you might have to give it a little boost to start it opening. Then there's a click lock open. There's double tie-down straps that wrap the thing closed tightly. But don't plan on getting it back into the sleeve every time.The blue sky underside is a funny but nice touch.The square shape makes setting it up as a tent a little easier.

I loved the umbrella when I first received it and the first time I used it. The second time I used it (yesterday) the metal wire that holds the stem to the shaft broke and now it is useless. As it turns out, yesterday was the last day to return. I'm hoping that Amazon can help me out with it as I really was excited about the purchase and hoping that mine was just defective. Hopefully I can get a replacement. I'll update my review if I do. The umbrella looks to be sturdy and extremely large which is why I purchased it. Fingers crossed.

I purchased this umbrella 11/2016, I loved it perfect for sunny 100 degree soccer games, I have used it occasionally I’d say a total of 10 times maybe even less than that, mainly for the sun, maybe once for rain here in rainy SoCal... 😐 anyways last time I used it was Saturday I couldn’t close it, it was stuck open, I tried everything to be able to close it with out breaking it, but in order to put it in the back of my SUV (this thing is massive) I had to use a ton of force and almost snapped my fingers for trying... worse purchase I’ve ever made in amazon disappointed because I loved the size and design but doesn’t work if it’s broken 😤

After using it about 3 times, it is now broken. One of the spokes snapped when we opened it up It also doesn't do well in wind. Rethink this oversized umbrella. Not worth the money

Nice and big and so far so good.....

I bought this for my 6' tall husband who can never seem to find an umbrella big enough to suit him. This one is big enough not only for him, but to share with a friend as he walks across campus. The extremely sturdy construction and vents allow it to hold up in the wind. Everybody who sees it loves the cloud pattern inside. I am 5'2" and I find it a bit heavy, but it's not too heavy for him. He loves the comfortable handle and smooth opening and closing action. We are 100% satisfied with this purchase.

I keep it in my car in case of torrential downpour, and use it for my fiance, my little boy, and I. It's sturdy and HUGE and great. Buy this, but make sure you understand it's not an umbrella you want to carry around for personal use for a single person. Unless you are 8 feet tall.

This is my second OGIO 72 inch umbrella. I used it for the first time yesterday and it covers my cart, bag and me. Works as advertised.

Amazing umbrella! Only have it 4 starts because it is heavy to lug around while commuting to work.
