Scanpan Impact 32 cm Tagine

My first order came faulty(lid cracked). I then requested a replacement but that also came with the missing lid. Extremely disappointed! Still haven’t received my refund. In addition I had to pay close to $6 for shipping! Very poor service and quality!

Perfect for us! The stainless base is great and versatile as a pan. A decent size to cater for the whole family. Tempted to buy another for entertaining.

Its not the best tbh, as an Algerian we love cooking our traditional food in the tagine but this one burns and stick the food even in low heat... so yes its a bit pricy for what you get!

I know it gives the size right there in the description. Can't miss it, 32cm, right there. I made the gesture with my hands again, just now, approximating the size of this thing. I need new hands. Or a better guess. Or maybe a tape measure. I have a stupid induction hob due to having no gas supply and the hob beeps at you if it is on and something extends over the touch sensitive cooking controls. This thing (did I mention it was big) would do just that if I wanted to centre it on the ring. This means I have to stay with it whilst setting it up, browning meat, etc, so I can keep stirring it. I have to use it on the hob because it doesn't fit in my oven easily and I don't mind standing over it, it's so pretty. Anyway, onto sensible stuff. The handles, even though they are metal too, keep cool when using it on the hob. The lid has the usual lack of grip to the top of it so you would struggle if using a pot holder. I have some gloves with grips, specifically for oven use, and these make it a bit easier, but I wish they would ridge it more so you have a proper grip on a hot, heavy lid. As for dimensions, I will go and measure it now so you can check if it fits your oven, hang, on, I'll grab my tape measure... Okay, maximum height with lid is 24cm (9 1/2") maximum diameter including handles is 43cm (17") base diameter is 26 cm (10.25") interior diameter 32cm (12 1/2") height of pan is 7.5cm (3") height with handles 13cm (5") Interior height of my Hotpoint oven is 30cm (12") stopping short of the grill elements. So, it will fit, I'm a liar, but only just. And I'll need to stand it on something so it isn't on the floor of the oven. Right, I shall go and defrost that chick I bought from Gourmet Foods that was supposed to be a chicken, that'll fit inside it nicely. Anyway, I gave this 5 stars because it is lovely. It isn't the manufacturer's fault that I didn't measure properly and maybe order the smaller one. If you have room then go for it. I know it's expensive, even on offer, but it is lovely and really well made. I blame James Martin because he had one on his Saturday Morning Kitchen... Oh, one other thing. I struggled getting the product box out of the packaging, it was a tight fit, so bring a friend when it arrives :)
