Good product

Got this for my IP CCTV system at home. Hard to find a 8 port switch with POE on all 8 ports. Has two SFP ports for scalability and extending the network. This is more suitable for a small office deployment rather than home, but it gets the job done for my requirement.

Very good switch, using it as a part of my IPC setup. Been using it for over a year now.

I was amazed when I received this switch at all of the options it has for the price. If you need a small PoE switch and want gigabit (1000mbps) speed then this is the switch for you. Very inexpensive but loaded with options and full gigabit speed on all 8 ports and has 2 fiber uplink ports as an option (the optional fiber modules are very inexpensive as well and work very well). All in all this is an amazing switch at a VERY affordable price from a company I have known and trusted for many years!

I have used Netgear Prosafe products for many years with great success. I love Netgear's metal boxes - they have a very solid feel. All of my Netgear products have performed as expected and been very reliable. Used Finisar 1000BaseSx Sfp Transceiver Modules with this GS110TP for a fiber link to a Netgear switch in another building and everything worked perfectly, connecting at 1Gb immediately. I prefer an internal power supply, but the external one that came with this looks like it is good quality.

I bought this as a quick replacement when my primary POE failed. The POE switch is a switch between my POE cameras, some WAP points and my router.I intended to only use it until the original was replaced. However, turns out the limited space and lack of good air ventilation was the reason the first failed and so I left this one to go the same way. It didn't. The temp management on this is much better - and as a somewhat managed switch I got the added bonus of seeing and managing what the IP Cameras were doing to my network.This was literally a 5 minute install, provides plenty of power to the POE ports for IP cameras or WAPs and it has better throughput than the other products I tried.There is a newer version that is "green" but the price on this product is ridiculously low compared to its capabilities. Suggest buy now and green later. If you have WAPs or megapixel IP Cameras I can certainly recommend this switch for you.
