Best egpu box
Just perfect. Works out of the box. Paired with Lenovo P14s with TB4, nVidia 5070Ti and Seasonic 850W PSU. Only fan is a bit loud but after change for Noctua it's just fine.

The Only Enclosure I Found
It works just fine and I even got the board working on linux (Linux Mint MATE, 22.2) on a Dell XPS 17. **Does not come with a power supply.** I just needed an eGPU thing for some spare hardware I didn't want to have go to waste that wasn't out in the open and matching an enclosure to a board when I've never bought something like it and can't afford waiting for my cat to shove its face into my bench wasn't an option. For being so big, you think it would have more room for managing the cables but a huge majority of this thing is wide open. Also, one of the thumb screws in the back unscrews all the way out while the other one doesn't, I think that's a manufacturing problem and that both of the screws are meant to be the type that don't easily come out of the chassis piece to prevent getting lost. Pictures of as far out as I can unscrew them before they feel like they'll pop out. I don't know anything about the board or other concerns, works with the pictured hardware and that's the best I got.

It's exactly what it shows itself to be.. it's that simple
No reason this should be 3.5 stars. Read them.. nonetheless. It's a built to size speed, GPU enclosure. There are open case (aka just a pcie board or slot to plug into) versions. Thurs is not that. If you want a case, without custom building and spending another week on the still projects we all do... This is, exactly what is advertised. Completely modular. Need your own PSU (clearly shown and stated) which is great! You're not getting a random power supply from a company who doesn't build only power supplies. This TB5 with power delivery, makes an Xbox Ally X a great companion. 120fps Cyberpunk no DLSS, 165: with in benchmarks. 21K Resident Evil Benchmarks on an RTX 4090. LIMITED AT PCIE 4.0 THROUGH TB4. 140W built in power delivery, too? Heck yeah. This device is the current ahead of the curve standard, it's expensive, it's a case, that also has software, that you didn't have to spend the time making, and can get back on with life. This is the end of my TED Talk. Yes. I did just type all that. Yes, Thurs product deserves 5.0 stars. Just buy it if you're looking for exactly what it offers. It's exactly what you get. Edit: The fan that come out installed is a bit over 70% fan stored dB levels on the Xbox Ally X. At 1500 RPM for the built in fan, at not full speed yet, you may want to add the extra "I read this entire review and do have a joke in my pocket burning to spend money already" budget just so you'll never think, look, touch, react, ever even feel the nerve of having to touch a screwdriver... You. You just wouldn't. G G. eZ

Easy setup and works perfect with my Legion Go 2!
Great way to boost performance for your gaming handheld. Any decent GPU will give you an advantage but personally I used a 5090 in here and the difference was incredible. Suddenly I could play everything at max settings without any hiccups in frame rate. Only downside is having to buy a PSU but thankfully I already had one on standby.

Great flow, kinda to big
This EGPU enclosure is great, nothing wrong with the shipper but I wish Razor made it a bit more compact, there is to much room in there fitting my 4090 FE. It does have great air, but it’s bigger then my mini case builds.

So, it's good for what it is.
I've been playing with this thing for some time now, and being able to actually use thunderbolt 5 for an EGPU finally is fantastic! So, the pros... Using PCIE 4 for thunder bolt, chiefs kiss! Being able to use highend cards over EGPU connections is great! Having over 40mps connections for an EGPU is also fantastic! Build quality is great and looks "okay" on my desk (not as good as the first core x, but I will live with it). The Cons: It does not come with a power supply, the core x2 is BYOPS, I had a bunch of them laying around so that was not too annoying for me. It REQUIRES the switcher software from the Razer web site to work... No way around this, not sure why this was done. And sitting this up was not for the faint of heart... A number of times it threw crazy errors at me and some times will randomly disconnect. Not sure why. Above all, it's fine for me but, normal joes will have tons of issues with it.

Outstanding External Enclosure for Non-eGPU Cards.
I use it for Blackmagic Designs Decklink 8k Pro after the Sonnet enclosure stopped reading my card. It works great. No lag.

Support PCIe 5 and works great
The Razer Core X V2 is an excellent choice for anyone using a handheld gaming device, offering a solid boost in performance and versatility. While I did encounter a minor issue during use, the customer support team was responsive and highly effective in helping me troubleshoot and resolve it quickly.

Good quality – my replacement unit works perfectly
Update: I reordered the same unit and the replacement arrived in perfect condition. The enclosure works properly, fits the GPU securely and performs well under load. The casing alignment is solid and the build feels premium. My first unit was faulty, but this one functions as expected.
