The Lychee Light Club is considered Usamaru Furuya's breakthrough work. Originally designed as an experiemental project Lychee's themes of youthful rebellion and deus ex machina destruction, and attractive designs eventually won over a new generation of readers and critics, leading the way for Furuya to take on his many recent high profile properties. In an abandoned warehouse, a band of nine students have assembled to plot out a new future. Their "leader" Zera is determined to cleanse his community of the ugly and cowardly. Having taken command of a band of young men to build him a god-like machine capable of changing the world. This machine, named "Lychee," will give them what they've been searching for...a beauty of the finest quality. A surreal yet touching horror comedy Furuya's Lychee Light Club that mixes elements of French Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol and with modern day pop culture tropes and is set in modern day Tokyo. Shocking, sexy and innovative, the Lychee Light Club is at the pinnacle of modern day Japanese seinen manga (young adult comics). Review: New favorite of mine! - i originally read the story online and absolutely fell in love with it, so i decided to own the physical copy! i personally am such a fan of the art style and how each character is distinctive. the storyline itself is also pretty good, but overall i'm satisfied with every little bit of it! it's genre is labeled as ero-guro though, which isn't lined with a lot of people's liking. but i will say that my money has been well spent! Review: i love LLC - i love this manga so much. i’ve loved it ever since 2021 and it’s been my favorite manga ever since then. it was an amazing read, and i am so overjoyed to have it.

Fantastic read
First this manga is 18+.please keep this mind.if you can't handle extreme violence this manga isn't for you.ive read several violent series over the years such as AoT,Chainsaw Man,Gantz,Akira, etc and at certain points of the story it greatly surpasses those titles. The story is wonderfully paced.the various action scenes flow well together.it seems this story plays off of Lord of the flies.its noticeable that themes from Beauty and Beast are additional present.this manga is a prime example of mob mentality.ive read The Wave by Todd Strasser and it also plays with the theme. This is an unique story but please heed the rating. While I can read it,its easy to see this could be disturbing to others.

beautiful
this manga was AMAZING. idk why some ppl didn’t like it, i mean to each there own. but me personally i rlly loved it. it is a one shot meaning that there’s only one book BUT the author actually did make i believe 2 prequel books called “our light club” and it’s abt the club before. the thing is it’s all in japanese and there was no official translation for those two books. but this book was rlly good and i highly recommend. it’s a dark fantasy horror/comedy/romance manga. and the art is beautiful i couldn’t stop taking pictures !

A good story ,but I wish there was more
WARNING: This came from an erotic magazine, I don't recommend purchasing it for someone under 18 not only for the nudity ,but for the gore. Especially the first chapter which kind of made me uncomfortable. Also yes, there is gay sex scenes ,but aside from that this is not yaoi. I liked the story alright ,but I wished there was more of it ,but sadly I haven't read the prequel yet (but thanks to TV Tropes I know the gist). But the real gem is the artwork since while the traditional way manga is drawn is fine, I really like the more realistic style of Junji Ito and the like. Sure some of it is gory and/or nude ,but even that's drawn pretty well.

Not a lot of revisiting value but certainly worth a read. Good size on the physical copy.

Well drawn but very bizarre!
I like weird but this one really weirded me out. I was, however, well written and illustrated.

Beautiful and Horrifying.
Lychee light club took me by surprise, I knew Usamaru Furuya would deliver and as a fan knew what he was capable of but after reading this book I was blown away. He presented a story of Love, Lust, Horror, Anger that grabs you buy the gut and drags you along until you hit the last page. The story revolves around A brotherhood of disturbed and sadistic called the "Light club". Organized meetings take place in an abandoned factory where they form and strong bond and disgust for anything outside of there cult like circle of brothers. "Lychee light club" brings a taste of Japan's underground genre "ero-guro" to a western audience and delivers a fantastic read that will haunt you with its grotesque beauty. Must read for all veteran Manga readers or horror fans.
