Pooh Candyland
Love it! Only thing about the game that needs work is the bumble bee spaces where you have to wait for a certain color which seems to take forever so we changed the rules some.

Odd Colors, Lots Of Pieces
We wanted to buy Candyland for our almost 3 year old boy. He really liked Pooh and Tigger so we thought this game would be great for him. However, the colors on this game make it nearly impossible to play for a 3 year old. He understand colors like red, green, and blue. This game has colors like mauve, turqouise, and tan. And to make it even more difficult, the shade of colors on the cards doesn't match the shade of colors on the board.Plus all the pieces make it time-consuming to put up and take down.We took this game back. Do yourself a favor and buy the plain-old traditional Candyland.

Buy the original, get something else with Pooh
I was very excited to get this game for my 3 year old daughter, who has a major Pooh fixation. While the idea of a Pooh Candy Land is cute, the execution doesn't quite work. The four playing pieces are Pooh, Tigger, Piglet & Eeyore, but they are just solid colored shaped pieces, not terribly exciting. The pieces are also a little large to fit comfortably on the Board spaces. The Board is decorated as the Hundred Acre Wood, but it also needs a bunch (8?) of stand-up inserts. The way these work is that you put the cardboard tab of the insert into the corresponding slot in the board and attach a plastic disc underneath the board. They are very cute and make the board 3-dimensional, but a 3-dimensional board won't close. So you have to set them up and take them off everytime you play the game. Of course, you might just give up and forget about them, but then what's the point, right?During game play, most things are the same as the regular Candy Land. The cards have either 1 or 2 colored squares. There are "special" cards that move you to a certain square. First one to the end of the path wins the game. The Pooh version "special" cards are the same cookie, ice cream, etc. from the original, versus the honeypot or pooh-type pictures you might expect. And let's not forget the strange Pooh version colors. Instead of easily recognizable primary colors on the board spaces and matching cards, these colors are just weird! When you play with your child, you're not quite sure what to call them.As with the original, there are a lot of good things about this game. Matching colors, taking turns, learning to play a game, moving one space or two, jumping ahead or falling back to a special space. There are a lot of small pieces - game markers, cards, cardboard figures and plastic discs. The markers are also quite brittle - step on one and it's toast! The cardboard figures also show wear quickly from being repeatedly put in and taken out of the board.I think Candy Land is a fun addition to a young child's toy chest, but I would get the less expensive classic version, and buy something else with Pooh on it. There is a lot of that to choose from!

Not happy with this game.
I wasn't sure about the game before I bought it, and now that I own it. I really dislike it!This is why:The game looks more like a Winnie the Pooh Birthday Party than a Picnic. The gameboard feels very cluttered with all of the winnie the pooh cardboard standing parts. The gameboard is even worse because because the colored squares seem extra small, and the playing pieces are extra big.Eeyore, if placed on the board with his head facing forward, will take up 3 spaces. The colors are not simple colors making the teaching value of this game very poor.I suggest buying the original game, because this one is truly not that good.

come on daddy, let's play a game!
we got this game for our son for his 3rd birthday and he still loves it, and he is going to be 4 next week. every night he asks us to play a game and it is always this one, and we play over and over for an hour or so. some of the colors are similar but he has not had a problem with them. over all I would say this one is a hit at our house!

A much-regretted purchase
As other reviews indicate, this board has pieces that must be inserted and removed every time the board is brought out. There are several problems with this. The first is that the cardboard inserts quickly become frayed and crushed at the bottom where they are supposed to fit into plastic clips. The clips themselves are like vices and hard to open sufficiently. There is no way small children can set this up by themselves and frankly, it can take an adult so long to get all the pieces together that the children lose interest and go off to do something else. I really can't believe that the designers of this ever tested it with real children and parents before tossing it out on an unsuspecting public.
