Perfect if want to start from scratch with no prerequisite
I have been reading the book for quite a while now and totally impressed at how fluently the ideas are conveyed. It feels as if you are on journey along with the author while exploring the forest of quantum world. Totally worth giving a try. I am excited for the special and general relativity parts. Will order them once I finish this one

Written by one of the founding fathers of String Theory, this book (second in his theoretical minimum series) is sure to become a classic. Susskind is truly a great teacher. Focusing only on the bare essentials and cutting a lot of unnecessary crap, this is truly THE book for the intelligent and curious beginner, provided of course she/ he is willing to put in a decent amount of effort and has at least an amount of mathematical maturity corresponding to 1st year college level. I only hope that Susskind publishes the other books of the series soon.
