I used this on two silver necklaces that I suspected contained nickel because they always gave me a rash within a week of wearing them. I tested them both with 3 drops of the solution on a Q tip. There's a strong ammonia smell (not acetone like one reviewer said) so its best to work in a ventilated area.So, on both of the necklaces, the Q tip came back unchanged and white. I was certain the product was crap, so I grabber a US quarter, dime, and nickel. I tested all three, and all three turned the Q tip pink. The stuff works, because nickel is present on all of those coins. I may indeed have a true silver allergy.This is worth the money.

I had a terrible reaction last week to one of my "good" neck chains that was 14k over sterling silver 925. I broke out in hives and almost scratched my neck and chest skin OFF my body. It was horrendous. I bought this solution and tested every chain I own, even the cheap ones that came on baubles from Temu--and NO reaction. I had returned the "suspect chain to Amazon (Jewlpire snake chain) so I couldn't test it, but I did find another one--same an exact chain. The Qtip turned PINK!! I was furious but also heartened because I knew the source of my horrendous reaction which almost sent me to the hospital. I am now testing every piece of jewelry coming in contact with my body. This stuff is amazing.

Doesn’t work. The smell is truly like a strong acetone, it made my eyes water. Which honestly I’d put up with the smell if it worked. But it didn’t. Idk why it worked for others and not me. I put it on a q-tip and then rubbed it just like the instructions on the bottle said. I tried it on several parties of earrings, necklaces and even stainless steel appliances. Apparently stainless steel appliances have a nigh nickel content. Nothing worked and I tried every stainless steel thing I could find in my home. Nothing made it react. It’s frustrating because I have developed a new allergy to my earrings and I don’t know why or what’s causing it but I was thinking it was the nickel since it’s the most common.

Definitely works- picked up nickel in quite a few things around my house.
