This worked out perfectly for my husband's Civil War era civilian outfit. I was concerned that the shawl collar would be too shiny, like a modern tux, but it's all good. He does reenactments as a Methodist Circuit Rider and Confederate Civil War chaplain.

Nice looking. Generally well made for the price. But a bit snug (I should have ordered next size). BUT the buttons started to come loose after three wearings. If you're handy with needle and thread I'd restitch 'em for reinforcement.
