Get ready for the electrifying action and adventure of “Tron: Ares.” When a highly sophisticated Program named Ares is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, it marks humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers. Review: Movie was good. Amazing picture quality - Excellent audio and video. Nice steelbook presentation. Review: Not a perfect movie, but still incredibly fun! - I find all the Tron movies extremely fun. Are they nonsensical? Absolutely. Are they nothing more than eye-candy? Sure. But are they ENJOYABLE?!? Overwhelmingly YES!! The idea here is to lose yourself (once again) in the loose narrative and janky plot points so that you can just let the sensory overload engulf you. In this third Tron movie, the special effects, sound, and setpieces reach a heightened level where it borders on "too" much, while still remaining a hearty trek into dumbed-down sci-fi. It's a popcorn flick at its finest. If you liked the first two movies, Ares is a must-watch! And if nothing else, check it out for the Nine Inch Nails score alone...it's masterful!

I Prefer Being My Own Critic and why I Like Tron: Ares.
Personally; I liked Tron: Ares. I know I will catch flak for saying that but it's a really good movie. I love the original Tron; I saw it at the theater, and yes I know that makes me older. I preferred Tron: Ares to Legacy; mainly because Legacy's slow pace and lack of action had me bored. One part of Ares that bothered me was Jeff Bridges lack of screen time. I wish he had been more involved. Jared Leto did a good job with the role and material he was given. He went from being an unemotional program to developing humanistic traits as the movie progresses. Greta Lee, Evan Peters,Jodie Turner-Smith, and Gillian Anderson were all great as well. Special effects; this movie has some of the best I have ever seen. Nine Inch Nails; well what can I say? Been a fan since Pretty Hate Machine; have every halo he has produced and have seen him in concert twice. The soundtrack just rocks!! I think that the critics were overally harsh to this movie and poisoned the well before it even premiered. Given time I think peoples perceptions will change. Bought this for the commentary and deleted scenes; plus I have blu-rays of Tron, Tron: Legacy and now Tron: Ares.

Worth the purchase.
Ok..so originally I was not going to purchase this movie even though I am a huge Tron fan! Everything I have read and have seen on the internet including many reviews have said the third installment of Tron is the worst so far. Confusing storyline characters that were not used to their full potential and of course Jay Leto being cast as Ares. But the visuals were excellent. I still have the delux laser disc version of Tron and the fantastic 3D bluray 4 disc version of Tron and Tron Lagacy and of course I also upgraded to the 4k steelbook versions of the movies. I decided to not belive all the negative press and purchased the 4k steelbook to complete my collection. And I must say Tron Ares is NOT a bad movie! It's not the best Tron movie but it does more than an admiral job with the subject matter. Also the visuals and the transfer to 4k are spectacular! The action is done very well and the cinematography is excellent the NIN sound track also works really well and carries much of the film. Lots of the music scored for the film reminds me of 70's electronic music like Tangerine Dream mixed with current aggressive techno. I'm glad I didn't listen to the nay sayers and purchased Tron Ares! Which more than likely will be the last movie in the franchise because it didn't do well at the box office but even so..I think it's was a really good send off.

Highly underrated, really good film
This movie starved at the box office but deserved so much better. It is exciting all the way through, with a story that genuinely had me invested to the end. Arguably the most well made entry in the series.

Excellent example of 4K video and Atmos sound for the home theatre
This 4K disc looks and sounds great in my home. A bit pricey, but I think it will be rewatchable. I found the story to be enjoyable and an entertaining watch. Watched on a 75" TV with 5.1.4 audio - very immersive.

A brilliantly epic high-SF, 4K-spectacle asking a profound question…
What defines a man? And can man reproduce himself? The product of 4-billion years of evolution… Do we remain just smart animals or something more? Can the coming “AGI” (Artificial General Intelligence) excel? In just a flicker of time, can we even duplicate the human mind? Often failing, do we long to sire our digital “children” of GROWTH? And in our arrogance and blind faith, we insist on valiantly trying… TRON keeping pace with present, profound technological leaps But displays a startling vision of our future: rank stupidity Thinking of catapulting beyond our own handicaps NOT replicating GREED, selfishness, conflicts Promising God-like salvation, solutions Even the hero is named “God of War” Yet a sign of self-awareness: Self-sacrifice, even LOVE Perhaps there’s hope Afterall?

Great movie to watch. And a lot of references to the previous two films.
Great to have the trilogy all in one case for the series. I still do have tron and tron legacy as individual movies.

All 3
Nice collection but in Tron eras I think there's going to be a 4 movie.

Igual de impresionante que en el cine
Realmente vale mucho la pena, la película tiene muy buenos efectos especiales y este Blu Ray 4K los denota perfectamente.
