OGIO 2016 Silencer Cart Bag

So after about 2 years i needed to change out my old bag. I am coming off using a 2012 Taylor-made Catalina cart bag that had lots of space so bear with me.First off the bag looks great, and is very light. The silencer tech holds clubs in place and prevents rattling. You won’t lose a club with the locking technology in the bottom of each slot. There are two eye-slits underneath each of the side compartments that your cart straps can go through to better secure the clubs without squeezing the compartments. The putter pocket is generously sized so just about any putter handle can fit, even those ultra-jumbo sized ones everybody uses these days.However there are tradeoffs. You won’t find big and generous front and side compartments on this bag. It also seems to be made of very light, but weak materials, mainly the straps and front compartments. Lets just say the front cooler compartment won’t keep my beverages cool very long. I couldn’t find a good compartment to use for my golf balls. Side pockets are harder to get into if you have multiple bags in a cart and the smaller “valuables” pockets won’t fit enough golf balls IMO.In the end though, you get a sharp-looking and practical bag that should be fine for what its intended for: Cart golf.Pros: Sleek design, silencer tech works well and hold clubs in place, cart strap goes underneath the compartments, large putter compartment, lightCons: Small compartments/ pockets, front pockets and strap materials made of thin/weak materials***Update: I’ve now had this golf bag about a year and its holding up well. Ive noticed the grips that keep your clubs locked at the bottom are beginning to wear, but this actually makes it easier to get the clubs in them while still keeping them from rattling. Very minor wear and tear overall. Still reasonably pleased with my purchase***

A couple of gripes: One zipper always sticks but with extra oomph works ok; insulated pocket for drinks, etc. is way too small and insulation is almost nonexistent. Useless for me. I put water bottles in the long side pocket. Otherwise, I'm pleased with the weight and the club handling.

I am one of those guys that hates taking off and putting on head covers. What a waste of my time and golf time. I had the revolving Bag Boy bag for years and liked it generally. I decided to try the Silencer and absolutely love it so far. It has been a few weeks and a real pleasure to deal with. It really does hold all clubs in place with no clanging

I have been using my new Ogio Silencer Cart Golf Bag for about a month and it functions as advertised and I am glad I bought it. I use it with a pull cart sometimes and on a drivable golf cart at others, and in both cases the bag has worked flawlessly. How nice not to hear the clatter of the clubs.

I received my Ogio bag in December 2015. I recently noticed that the stitching at the bottom of the bag had come undone. The bag itself works fine but I have contacted Ogio customer service and their warranty department about the fault and to date they have not replied or even acknowledged the receipt of my email.

THIS BAG MEETS ALL MY EXPECTATIONS. MY ONLY SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVING IT IS TO PUT A HAND GRIP ON THE TOP.

This bag seems to fulfill a number of issues with golf bags. I'm still experimenting with it for organization, expect to be able to use it on the course when the weather improves.
