I was amazed at how much hair I brushed off my Boykin Spaniel! No mess. No hair flying everywhere. It is well made and was a very good purchase! I purchased one for my daughter's dog also.

I love this brush! A push of the button removes the accumulated hair and your back at it.

I have a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix with her leaning more towards the Shih Tzu side. I tried brush after brush with her and none of them got her coat as soft as the groomer. I cut her hair because-despite it looking marvelous when she's running- it mats like crazy! I've got her hair basically half way to the ground and this brush glides through it effortlessly. Her brother, on the other hand, leans more toward the Poodle side so he has short, curly hair and the brush works on him to. It's a tad too big for their petite frame, though, and I do not care because I buy from GoPets exclusively now after the tens of brushes I went through. And there's a lifetime warranty so no ripping the handle off or ripping the bristles out of the brush. I'm very happy with my purchase and I recommend this brand to anyone.

I bought this brush for our dog and 2 cats. It works fine; the hair sticks to the brush when the bristles are retracted, so I have to take them off with my hand rather than just let the glob of hair drop into the garbage can. Not a big deal. The bristles are really stiff and wirery; I keep thinking that it's hurting the animals as they seem bothered when I'm brushing them. The dog is short haired and doesn't like to be brushed with anything, and one of the cats has thick fur but is a real squirrel and has never really liked brushing either, so I think it's just my animals. One of my cats doesn't seem to mind at all; actually he seems to enjoy it. I rated it a 4 star only because I paid like $15 for it and after I had ordered it, I saw a very similar brush in Target for around $7...so I'm thinking that this is overpriced. It may be better quality; I didn't really check out the one at Target very closely. I do not paying more for something that I could have gotten cheaper. The handle is comfortable though, and I like the color.

I wish to emphasis that although we had to take advantage of the lifetime warranty, this in no way is a poor reflection of, the product, or GoPets excellent service. We use the Slicker Brush daily on both of the boys (pictured), and have been doing so since we purchased the brush/comb in October 2017. Dylan (with the blue scarf) is large and has a very thick close coat, whereas his twin brother Archie (with the red scarf) has a much thinner and more open coat. Dylan sheds a lot of fur, and Archie hardly any, so I find it useful to groom Dylan first and leave his fur in the brush to help with grooming Archie. The unique feature of the retractible bristles in this brush makes cleaning the brush simple and effective. The handle of the brush is most comfortable and great for me with carpal tunnel problems and hardly any grip in either hand. So when the plastic dividers between the bristles of the brush started to break away I felt I should take GoPets up on the lifetime guarantee. They could not have been more helpful and attentive, especially as we live in England, and it seems our government is determined that we should not purchase from the USA (or anywhere else I suspect). Sadly because of this GoPets have quite understandibly decided to give up selling to the UK. They very kindly offered us a refund of the current purchase price, however because we like the Slicker Brush, and it suits our dogs and our situation we were hoping for a replacement. GoPets came up with the great idea of purchasing the replacement from Amazon.com, and they offered to refund the Amazon purchase price of the brush, and all we had to pay was the carriage and UK government tax (yuk). Because of the excellence of the Slicker Brush we were quite agreeable to this, and after all it's not GoPets fault we live in the UK. We now have a new Slicker Brush courtesy of Amazon, and have received a refund of the purchase price of it from GoPets, via Amazon. So thank you very much GoPets and Amazon, who together have looked after us so well. If you are looking for an excellent grooming brush for your dog or cat look no further - you will not be disappointed with GoPets Slicker Brush! Oh yes! I'm sure I don't have to tell you that Amazon's excellent service is second to non - and we use Amazon.co.uk a LOT!

Brush works well, however brush handle comes loose easily. It doesn't go deep for long haired dogs like, a golden, but works well on our lab.

The media could not be loaded. I have 2 DSH cats I love them with all my heart, but I cant stand hair all over the house.I bought a couple of brushes and turned them back after one use, because they did not so the job at allThis on although its a bit big for cats, but Simba just love it! Look hiw much hair came out from my dsh cat!!!!! You can only emagine if it was a M or Long hair 🤔🤔🤔My other cat didn't like it so much, but he does not like to be brushed anyway....I do it any way 🤷🏼‍♀️Very gentle.Bottom line !Its a great brush.Yes an expensive one. But at least I found one that works.

Looked promising for our two labs as they shed so much - thought we’d try something new after years of using Furminator. But the dogs were pulling away from the brush the whole time. Sticking with Furminator, which they don’t mind.
