Great Speaker For Blind Individuals
I bought this to use with my ElBraille, a Windows 10-based Braille tablet I purchased several months ago. I quickly realized that I'm going to enjoy using it with my iPhone as well. So, what makes this little guy so useful for a blind person? For starters, I love the voice prompts that let you know when the power is on or off and when the speaker is in Bluetooth mode. I also appreciate the fact that the manufacturer answered all of my questions and sent me a user manual as a PDF file that was quite accessible... For the most part, anyway! :) <Smile>Where other features are concerned, I'm thrilled with the long battery life! I do a lot of my office work on my ElBraille, and the speaker on it is a joke! I'm happy to find a fairly small speaker with great audio for both music and my screen reader with a 20-hour battery life! The only thing I wish the Nyne Boost had is the ability to have it paired with 2 devices at once. That way I could switch between the ElBraille and the iPhone a bit easier. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like I have to disconnect one when I want to use the other.Having said that, the audio quality and the affordability of this gem makes it a great choice! I haven't taken it on a trip yet, so I'll update this review later when I know how it works for travel. It is a bit heavy, so we'll see how it goes! :) <Smile>

Great sound
The sound in this was awesome, and so is the build quality. I do recommend it.

Perfect for the lakehouse
We ordered this to Bluetooth to an echo input we had mounted on the wall. Works perfectly. We leave it plugged in most of the time, but take it out on the deck with us when we are hanging outside. The range is great. It reaches from the Echo mounted on the first floor to the rooftop deck on top of our second floor (basically from the first to the third floor). The sound is great and it works so well with the Echo Input, we forget that the echo is actually mounted on the wall and not in the speaker. Some people have given this product a 1 star because it did not come with a charger. It is not super obvious in the description, but since I read the reviews and knew that ahead of time, the product met or exceeded expectations.

Great Speaker with One Strange Drawback..
This speaker has great sound and seems to hold a charge for a very long time. I haven't submerged it in water, but it has been doused a few times and no problem. The only problem I have with the thing is a very loud "gong" sound and electronic voice that announces whenever the speaker is "Powering on.", "Powering off.", "Connecting to Bluetooth", "Lost connection to Bluetooth", "Running low on charge". At the least it is loud, interruptive and annoying. At the worst it is startling - the music ends and you forget about the speaker for a little while, and suddenly "Gong! Etc." Imagine concentrating on something important or even dangerous (maybe using a power tool) and having someone suddenly yelling in your ear? - it's kind of like that.If you are listening to relaxing music, falling asleep, playing music for a class or otherwise trying to keep things mellow - suddenly there is this loud electronic voice and gong effect.Since it is submersible, maybe a bucket of water nearby could be the solution in some cases.I have e-mailed the manufacturer three times - through their website - to see if there is any way to disable this stupid feature, but I have never received a response.I don't understand why the blue power light isn't enough to indicate whether the thing is turned on or not.All that being said - I really like this speaker! (Sound, portability, ability to hold a charge, price - all 5+ stars.)

Great sound and good battery life so far
I bought this speaker as a gift for my wife to use on bike rides. Given the larger dimensions, I ended up replacing the vertical bottle cage with an adjustable one from Blackburn. Worked great on the one ride we have taken it on, though we did lose one of the rubber glued on feet in the process. It has great sound and we also like to use it around the house when playing games at the dining room table. Have not rigorously tested battery life but it has run 5 hours and longer on a charge. It is larger and heavier than most speakers you might put on a bike, so keep that in mind before you decide to use it this way.

order a usb to micro cord
love these ,we bought 2 of these and they are great.easy to set up ,came partially charged so i dont know from start to end as time to charge.i still gave it 5 stars because they are by far the best bt speakers we have owned.i only have one gripe and thats because it doesn't include a USB to micro cord for charging.for what we paid for these i think the company will still make a good profit adding a 3 dollar cord, fortunately i stock pile cords from dead toys from the past but if you dont have one order the USB to micro, the micro connection is the thinner one,it does mater as some micros are wider than others. all in all great speaker,i dont think you'll regret the purchase.
