This Little Baby Actually Works
You know what I love? I love that we live in a world where I need a computer the size of a stick of gum to tell my Christmas lights when to turn on and off. Because flipping a switch is too much work for modern humans. But you know what? This little Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is perfect for that kind of beautiful nonsense. Under THIRTY bucks. THIRTY bucks for a computer that has more processing power than the entire Apollo program, and I'm using it to make my inflatable Santa wave at the neighbors. The engineers at MIT are rolling over in their graves. The ones who are dead, anyway. The live ones are probably doing the same thing with theirs. This thing is smaller than a deck of cards but somehow packs in WiFi, Bluetooth, and enough computing muscle to run whatever half-baked automation project pops into your head at 2 AM. Want to spoof MAC addresses? Sure, why the hell not? Want to build a retro gaming console? Go nuts. Want to monitor your pet hamster's exercise routine and post the data to a spreadsheet? This little sucker will do it without complaining. And it actually WORKS. Right out of the box. No driver hell, no tech support runaround, just plug it in and watch it go. It's almost disappointing how reliable it is—I was looking forward to a good three-hour rage session troubleshooting drivers. Bottom line: If you need a tiny, cheap, wireless computer for your questionable projects, this is your guy. Five stars. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a doorbell to rig up with facial recognition.

Came as advertised, just what I needed. Great purchase.
I wanted to set up a pihole and this served that purpose perfectly. Great purchase, good quality, and was able to do exactly what I needed to do with it.

Works as expected.
A bare bones R Pi Zero 2 W; no case, no header, no TF card, no cables. It was a little pricey, but as RPi's are concerned, it's been difficult to find them in stock, so it's a supply and demand issue. I purchased bare bones like this because I am using it with a larger hat that provides power and cannot fit in a standard case. As for the unit, everything was clean and my header pins soldered easily. USB and HDMI connectors plugged crisply. So far the AMP-PRO hat that I got runs fine. Volumio booted from a TF card just fine. Activity LED twiddles. I haven't tested out any data on HMDI or USB yet. If there is any issue, I will update the review.

An inexpensive Raspberry Pi project to add wireless Android Auto to older cars
I matched this Pi Zero 2 W board up with Geeek Pi Pi Zero 2 W case, 16 Gb SanDisk microSD card and a six inch CableCreation USB A - USB Micro data cable to make a Android Auto appliance for my wife's 2017 Chevy Volt. I flashed a custom Android Auto with OS image onto the microSD from the GitHub project in order to provide the wireless connection to my wife's Pixel 6a phone. The Pi Zero 2 W connects to one of two USB ports in the Chevy Volt console are just forward of the transmission shifter. Everything worked great although it took a little effort to get the Chevy Volt head unit to swap over to the Pi Zero 2 W for Android Auto. This was during the initial phase when the Pixel 6a was connected to the top Volt USB port and the Pi Zero 2 W was connected to the bottom. The phone easily connected to the Pi via Bluetooth; it just took a couple of iterations for the Chevy head unit to accept the Pi as an Android Auto source. After that, other than a 10-20 second delay for the Pi to finish it's Chevy handshake after startup everything works great. My wife loves using Google Maps. Phone and SiriusXM via Android Auto and the speech recognition works very well for her. Happy wife, happy life! I only held one star back as I can't say how durable this setup will be but it's holding up well so far.

I bought this to setup a pihole as I've been increasingly barraged by ads. I've been able to block pretty much everything setting up a network wide Adblock. It seems to work on ALL of my connected devices including my Apple TV. Bonus, you can setup a remote DNS so that you can have your network tunnel through this, filtering ads on the go out of the main network. Friggen cool little unit. If you know someone with a 3D printer check out cases for this on Printables, there are many great options. I printed this one in literally 20 minutes for 10g of filament.
