I usually don't take the time to rate my purchases, but this one is worth my review! I was hesitant to buy it, as I saw a couple that were cheaper, but they had mixed reviews. Since this had free returns, I decided to give it a try. The pruner is absolutely amazing and exactly what I had hoped for! It is compatible with my existing Dewalt 20-V batteries. I have pruned several trees and bushes on my property, and am on the lookout for more! It easily cuts through branches up to 1.5 inches and more, depending on the wood. While it is just a bit heavy when reaching high, it comes with a strap that distributes the weight a bit, which helps. I love this tool, and it has helped decrease my tree/bush trimming time and effort 'way down. If you are looking for a decent pruner, that is easy to use, and performs well, look no further!

Did not work as arrived. Clipper did not work with battery only AND with pole attached did not work. Tried 3 batteries and did not work. Also tried my 3rd party clipper on pole and power light came on but trigger at bottom of pole did not work. Seller promptly sent a replacement for both parts. All works well now. I recommend

Not bad for a low priced tool. Cuts well and runs all day on a 5ah battery. Build quality ok but batteries nor cutter fit the pole. Had to remove some material to get things to fit correctly but after that all is well. Certainly recommend.

It is a good pruning shears, I am very impressed by its performance, specially when I use the pole, it makes the task very easy.

Wow! Great product, major time saver. Strong cutting strength, scary strong. Would easily cut off a finger. Be careful. The images showed that other DeWalt battery tools would operate with this extension pole. Not accurate. I was hoping that my “saws All” style DeWalt would work, no. Disappointing, but i love this tool, hand held or using the extension

Does not work all! The pruner tool does not fit to pole and dewalt batteries as described. I was excited to get this pruner because I thought its flexible design with the removable pole was superior to dewalt’s poor choice to offer a handheld and a pole pruner as two separate products. Having the handheld pruner attach to the pole is clearly the better solution for the customer. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the product since the tool does not attach to the pole at all! The tool battery socket is very visibly wrong-shaped! In the attached video I am clearly showing that dewalt battery and tools fit the pole (which means that pole socket design is fine). The pruner tool however does not fit neither the pole or dewalt batteries because of its wrong battery socket design. The product is totally useless as is so I will be returning. This is unfortunate because I really think that the main selling point of a 2:1 solution is a good idea.

Try the pole attachment immediately upon receipt as the clippers worked alone but not after attaching to the pole - power got to clippers but they would not operate with pole trigger.

Wife loves it she can trim high branches on tree easily. She won’t let me trim trees though. She said it’s not too heavy and it’s well made so she’s happy with it

I was a little apprehensive about this product as there were only 3 customer reviews. 2 gave it a 5 star and 1 gave it a 3 star. The 3 star was because the pruner would not work on the pole after the first use. When I got mine, it worked great with the battery directly attached, but when put on the pole, it would not work...huh oh! I slipped the pruner off and tried to slide the pole back on and after a couple of tries, it 'clicked' into place and voila! Worked just fine. I took it out and tested it on some branches on a dying evergreen hedge and it cut beautifully. I love all the extra items - safety glasses, work gloves, shoulder strap and tools that came with the tool. I'm glad I got this pruner. BTW, it is very sturdy on the pole and handles well. In fact, I"m thinking if I use a heavier battery, it will balance out better and be even easier to handle, because the battery will work as a counter weight.

Love this cutter it’s extremely easy to use I have about 5 acres of trees to trim and it never let me down.
